.. and used the adept. Not the first time I've used the Adept, but this is the first time I've used him with this specific set up, as a grenadier.

Warp / Throw / Cluster Grenades as my 3 primary powers.

I had no idea CG's were that powerful in single player, like completely ridiculous. Between 5B and 6A evos (plus 4B Warp) I could warp a full armor, shieldless Atlas, and throw 1 CG cast at it and the Atlas died.

5 fragment CGs, plus warp BE damage and armor debuff is the most powerful set of Shep abilities I've ever encountered for big armor units.

This edges out the Flare Infiltrator and the Shepguard as the most powerful Shep ever IMO

Adept or Sentinel are easily the most powerful class in single player.  Try to beat it as Vanguard on Insanity like I did then we can see eye to eye. :D

^ I did beat it with Shepguard. It was a relative cakewalk once you have practice with the Novaguard and can exploit all the I frames available to that class.

Nova cancel FTW

Plus several of the scenes which were supposed to be challenging end up not being very challenging due to the OP nature of BC

When I play as an adept, I mostly use reave. I even did a playthrough only using reave and no weapon. The playthrough was fairly easy. Its been sometime since that playthrough, but I believe the only time I had a problem was with the 3 geth primes.

For me, soldier is the most powerful class in ME3. When I want to speed through the game, I play as a soldier.

^ the problem I had with the soldier was i didn't have any of the weapon expansions when I played him, and the Soldier is completely reliant on good weaponry. Soldier would absolutely be a beast with any of the good shotguns / Harrier / Hurricane etc.

With the Adept, I'm just using an Avenger I. The Adept has far greater spike AOE damage with the warp / cluster combo (5 fragments!!!!) when needed. The only drawback is no Grenade Capacity, but considering what the Shepdept can do with the 4 CGs, GC would be supreme overkill

Never found the cluster grenades very useful.

Did you use evo's 5B and 6A? because that makes all the difference.

Warp then cluster grenades is the most powerful combo of abilities available to any Shepard.

Warp with the BE increase evo, then 5 fragment CGs spec'd as above kills virtually everything in the game.

Last night I killed 2 Harvesters on Tuchanka in rescuing the Turian bomb mission. A full health Harvester was taken from full armor / health to one flickering bar in 2 Warp / CG combos

No.

The powers I use are more than enough to defeat the enemies without having to use the grenades.

Even when I play as a soldier, I rarely use grenades
