I'm willing to bet we'll see the return of the Terra Firma party or a TF/Cerberus kind of hybrid, but hopefully not as a caricature of right wing/anti-immigrant politics (at least in the US) and more nuanced.

Please no Cerberus.  Not sure how reliable this rumor is, but I'm going to hope it is untrue.  The other leaks have not exactly been promising either. Usually at this point in a game's development, each little new piece of info is exciting and builds up hype.  I feel like the opposite has been happening with Andromeda.  Hopefully that will turn around as we get more official info.

Which doesn't make sense when the rest of the narrative already agrees with such viewpoints.

The game already has humanity as the end all be all in the Mass Effect universe, why would we need a political group that says the same thing that the Codex, Lore, Companions, NPCs, etc. have already been telling us?

You mean the codex, Lore (to an extent), companions and NPCs from the galaxy that we're saying goodbye to?

Well we're bringing the most popular aliens with us, and the leak (if true) has humanity coming to the rescue again so yeah humans are still the ubermensch of the setting as far as the narrative is concerned.

Trust me, I would love to see a game where we aren't the special snowflakes of the universe, but I really don't see BioWare going that route any time soon.

Hum, it is as credible as the leaked survey I guess. The dude who made a YT vid about this gameplay info leak says it has been verified that the informer is who he really is.

No it isn't. Nothing in that reddit "leak" has been substantiated and the mods of that worthless subreddit have no credibility. The survey leak has been substantiated half a dozen times over.

No. Please no.

Another flavor of human (or hell, even Milky Way alien) supporter/suprematist faction? Alright, if they can do it well.

But not Cerberus. Never again. I don't want to be even reminded that it was a thing.

Check the vid. Assuming this dude is not just a huge liar, he confirmes that the person who leak info proved his/her identity.

So true... Gotta admit that even tho I am a huge Mass Effect fan, the fact that the whole game would move away from the Milky Way and from Shep, really brought me down. Even if the game will be a masterpiece, it is just not the same. And I hope that Bioware will not go down "new game=new protagonist=new companions = new everything" path like they did with DA1,DA2,DA3. If we are getting a new protagonist in ME, then at least they could keep the one from DA Inquisition.

What's the deal with you and fossils? You seem to carry quite a grudge! I dunno what happened but those mean ole' fossils can't hurt you anymore, I promise!

Fossil - refers to something more ancient then even our ancestors that is right now just in museum as something that existed in past and that should be left in past without needing to bring it up in your today's everyday life

In another words, it is just figure of speech man, try not too read to much into it :P

Who confirms it? A no-name YouTuber or the no-name mods of a random subreddit? None of those people have any authority and nothing in that "leak" has been corroborated. You need to work on your BS detection skills.

What does MEA have to do with DAI? And the Inquisitor only has one arm now so how would s/he continue as the protag?

I'm sure Cerberus will have some sort of presence, but I really hope it's minor. They had their turn and it's over.

Agreed.  A minor presence would be fine...even interesting.  But I don't want to go through another game mowing down an entire battalion of Cerberus goons.

During Mass Effect 3's great war with the Reapers, Shepard killed 941 Cerberus troops.  She only killed 880 Reaper forces.

Cerberus officially threw more resistance at Shepard than the main villains of the game.  They've had their time in the spotlight.

I personally enjoyed Cerberus and while they could have been portrayed in a better manner I would love to have them return. Now having them return as an immediate threat with boss level power in a new galaxy? Not so much but with how they were I wouldn't shun the possibility that they were able to advance into Andromea before the ark. This way they would have partially established themselves in this new galaxy but not to such an extent that would be able to almost instantly return to their former power. Perhaps a hint or two to give way for rumors of their continued survival, maybe even a side quest that allows you the opportunity to either pursue this rumors to discover if any truth lies in them or to simply ignore them or a third choice of not actively pursuing but monitoring them.

Let's say you pursue the rumors and discover they've been in andromeda for a few weeks or months before the ark and have established a small base. Weakened, in hiding and attempting to gather strength almost like they're the Sith empire. Let's say you discover all this and are given several options which could be you finish them once and for all or you monitor them or use them or something along those lines. While a-lot of you utterly hate Cerberus for whatever reason I find them a vital part of the ME universe at least as long as humans exist in it. Perhaps Cerberus manages to sneak into andromeda and in their weakened state go against their pro human core beliefs and ally themselves with one of the many unknown races in andromeda to bolster their strength only to ultimately pull a classic "we used you and obtained what we needed so now we retreat to the shadows... for now." I mean it makes sense and it's very very logical and something they would do.

Since cerberus is being forced into all of the stories I wouldn't be surprised if they do. Cerberus was fine when they were just a small rogue faction of the alliance but ever since they were retcon'd into an organization that rivals the alliance in ME2, cerberus went down hill from there.

In short cerberus overstayed their welcome.

Well at least it's something and plausible at that. With how Cerberus is it is not completely farfetched or even in the realm of impossibility. In fact I know Cerberus will be in the game at least in some form and what form that entails is simply a matter of time. Be it a nod or something like that of my idea who knows but they will exist in the game. As long as humanity exist in the ME universe so too will Cerberus in some form, it simply cannot be denied no matter how badly you or another individual detest them. The same can be said for every other species in the ME universe, maybe not a human Cerberus faction but maybe a barbarian or asari, or vorcha or any species. Cerberus is an ideal, one all ME species can utilize for their own ends. So again Cerberus will appear, in what form only time will tell.

Hehe, it seems that nobody wants to see Cerberus again.

I don't mind them.  Especially as enemies.  The way that I look at it is like this, they're reapers (not the 2km tall ones, I'm talking like the cannibals, banshees, brutes, marauders etc), just serving a different master.

So it´s plausible, because Cerberus did this mindmelting, impossible stuff already, so let´s continue?

Yeah the idea of "we are better than you are," will be something that stays with humanity and the rest. Also stupidity will stay with us. The particular manifestation called Cerberus, which combined mindboggingly stupid* and human supremacy into TIM´s muppet show can stay in the Underworld. It´s only TIM who said Humanity 1st = Cerberus. Cerberus was TIM 1st, anyways.

*not stupid as in supremacy is stupid, but "these guys have no brain." Every named Cerberus bad guy was mentally challenged. The exceptions were your crew in ME 2 and all the dudes who fled as soon as they realized, that they gave their brains the day off when they joined.
