Hello, buddy

I just wonder is there any possible a patch12 fix this issue? It almost game breaking, especially in some epic battle

    http://answers.ea.co...ht/false/page/3

Since patch 7 (it would be good if I could see the version number in-game) was installed, though I cant recall if this started happening before installing The Black Emporium, one or more of my party memebers will stop moving and attacking while in combat. If I select them the left analog will do nothing, they just cant move or attack. This might be also happening to the AI enemies as I have noticed some will not attack even when I have everyone attacking him/her.

I am playing in Nightmare difficulty and most of the time use the tactical pause. The only way to work around this is, if and when I catch a party member having the problem, I select him and jump. If I dont jump I wont be able to move. To be clear, this happens to party members even if I never ordered them to hold, and select clear orders wont fix this, only selecting to control them and pressing the jump button will I recover movement and attacks for that character.

Dont tell me to hard reset my Xbox One because I have already tried that even though it is not set to go into stand by or sleep or whatever, I dont remember what it is called.

Thanks for your time and patience.

Sorry to say, but development and patching is done for DAI.

As far as I know, the only way to get a follower to move again is to switch to them and jump, as is said in the quoted passage. I know it's frustrating, I've had the bug myself, but we just have to live with it now.

The Disengage button also works, resetting combat and unfreezing all characters.

This doesn't work on console. You have to do what Nightscrawl suggests.

That's weird.

Yep. I saw your suggestion in another thread on the same subject and was excited to try it, but it didn't work on my XBOne. I was disappointed because it sounded like a good solution and meant I didn't have to leave tactical view. :(

I generally never leave tactical view during combat, so it likely never would have occured to me to try jumping.

I noticed this on my Nightmare run. Its annoying, but I mainly rely on my party to 'not die' for me. That's their main contribution - I usually assume that I'll have to do most of the heavy lifting with regard to killing things. Spellcasters and ranged aren't affected much by this (in fact it can even help ranged characters, stopping their usual irritating charge into close quarters lol).

Sometimes, I see Bull or Blackwall just standing about, so I have to control and give them a jump start (literally). Its annoying, but like I say I don't expect much from my party anyway really in this game. As long as they stay alive and absorb attacks and attention until I get round to killing everything, then I'm good.

Hi, actually it's work on Xbox one, I just play with Xbox one console,  I guess the tips was that you should press the RT to "advance time" after active disengager command.

I keep forgetting how differently the game plays on console.

Hmm. I will try it again. I know I tried a few times, but it was a while ago so maybe I got it wrong.

Okay, I finally tried it again and it sort of worked, sometimes. :P I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I used disengage while in tactical view and it worked on my character and Bull in one fight, and then in a dragon fight Bull froze up and I tried it repeatedly, and it didn't work. *shrugs* Oh well, I'm use to it by now so it's not a big deal anymore especially with the benefits of the Golden Nug. :)

The worst thing was that I found the enemy also suffer this bug.

I have to knock them down to help them reset, so it horrible for enemy which can not be knock down.

This does happen.  I had it happen to a giant, once.  Really trivialized the encounter (not that I minded).
