I finally decided to start playing the DLCs starting with Jaws and my question is simple. How do you beat this dlc? Might sound like a silly question but i'm used to playing dlcs with one main plot and side quests opening up and being done along the way. In short, having a starting point and a finishing point. Jaws seems to be a series of side quests (Not saying that as a bad thing) so i'm not sure/used to how to progress the dlc to it's end? Does the dlc just end after all the side quests are done?

There's a main thread of quests that ends in a boss fight. To try and not give much away, you'll find yourself at some houses by some boats. You can ask to lend one, go ahead with that, travel to the island, and continue from there.
Everything else is side missions.

Good to know. Thanks. Just started playing last night and got frustrated after running around for an hour and not knowing what to do. I put it down after i was told to talk to some villagers about the bear. Figured it'd be easy enough to find the villagers as it seems everyone is in the village and i can't even find them to talk to them. Everytime i think i'm getting close to a villager i either run into a wall or end up back with Sun-Hair.

It is frustrating, there's no obvious route to follow for the main quests and the village is a maze. I ended up having to check the wiki to see what I should do, and that's when I was pointed to the boat. It's not in the main village by the way, it's lower down and to the right actually it's along the coast, between your starting point and the main village. Just a couple of houses.
They could have flagged the important quests a little better.

Had the same issues. It's plays out similar to the Hinterlands in a sense. It's all over the place and initially navigating the main village is a pain. Something i learnt from ME1 was BioWare love their dead ends and non scalable/difficult to navigate environments.

I usually ignore the big fat narrative hints (Professor Kenric basically tells you where to go) and the quest markers a DLC has and go off and climb all over random sh*t until I'm more or less forced to do the story quests. I think I visited all of the treehouse camps before talking to Thane Sun-hair for the first time.
Which means that DLC on rails, like Descent or Trespasser, are as frustrating for me as JoH must be for you.

That they certainly do.

I do like story based quests more then the go all around and search everywhere based quests because a lot of the times unless something's right in front of my face i just get completely lost. That being said, i was wondering around aimlessly and it seems the quest just skipped over talking to the villagers and sent me right to the cave where Storvacker was being held.

ust keep going, a lot of those side quests tie in as you work through them all, some don't but the bear one will be important later.

THE SHAAAAAARDS, DON'T FORGET THE SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARDS!
Of course I'm joking, but when I found out that there are other shards to collect, I just thought "Who had the brilliant idea to put these f****** shards in impossible places?". I hate the shards.

You can do it whenever you want once you get to Skyhold. But it's suggested that you be at least a level 20.

You can do any of the DlLC's (except for Trespasser) whenever you get to Skyhold but it's not recommended you do them before hitting level 20 with your character because the enemies in these areas can be quite tough compared with the main game

It's a beautiful area
But not really a DLC.. it's just a piece that should have been in the main game but BW made it into a DLC cause they didn't have time ![]()

Basically, the quests about Ameridan are main JoH quests. The rest are not. Do the Ameridan ones to beat the DLC. There! ![]()

I've literally done everything except collect Ameridan's memories (Where Once We Walked) Even with this i've collected 4 out of the 5. Just can't get the last one.

The one at the Tevinter Ruin. It seems like i can get right next to the place and then i get stuck. I end up either by Eastern Riverbank or Cliffside Path and then nowhere to go.

I'm sorry, I haven't played in a while, but I think you can get there if you spawn at the camp at the top of that screenshot, then exit the camp at the top using a wooden bridge extending to the cliffside bluff. Then follow it near the edge to the location. If that makes any sense. Hopefully it does!
