New players with low N7s are always going to struggle on gold + plat because it was not designed for them. Difficulty levels should be unlocked as achievements. For example everybody starts out on bronze and gradually graduates upwards when either a certain gear ranking is achieved or as a result of completing challenges which suitably demonstrate technical proficiency, for example; Lone Wolf banner, e.g.

Silver difficult could be the reward for completing the full set of common weapons

Gold difficulty as the reward for completing the uncommon weapon set

Platinum difficulty the reward for completing the full set of rare weapons

Alternatively completing a lone wolf challenge on each tier unlocks the next

That way you are guaranteed to be paired with suitably equipped teammates with at the very least a minimum level of experience required to complete each incremental manifest challenge, i.e. on average it may take 5 hours to unlock silver on bronze, 20hrs on silver to unlock gold and 50hrs on gold to unlock plat. If everybody has earned the right to play on a given difficulty then kicking would be reserved for absolute a--hats.

The first level of singleplayer should be adequate tutorial for new players anything more would be overkill. If you can't suitably train new players with the first level or so then your game is too complicated.

Made the same suggestion months ago.

The previous ME combat training tutorial were bare bones, if that. I suggested a full Combat Training Level for the expressed purpose to teach, train and experience "real" combat.

ME2's intro to combat for the newbies (at the start of the game) was acceptable.. but I still like my Combat Training Level idea where you can enter the "arena" at any time and increase or decrease the difficulty and/or the number of opponents.

Too many scrubs in the multiplayer shows a severe lacking of player knowledge of the combat system.

Or we could not, because that's unnecessary, silly, & just lame.

Thank you bioware

If it wasn't for scrubs in multiplayer games you'd never get any kills...

The only issue with the ME2 intro is that you couldn't yet access all your powers, you had a couple of points to activate some powers but not all of them.

Seriously guys, ME is horde mode. Sure you can do Bronze in a PUG. You may even be able to do Silver in a PUG, but Gold? Platinum? You need a team with voice communication. No mic you're out.

Bronze is a horde combat tutorial. It's easy as hell.

^They could explain basic game mechanics. Biotic/tech combos and ammo combos for starters. Took me a long time to figure those ones out, and if it weren't for MP, I never would have realized why certain things exploded.

If MEA is like ME3 then you will have to play some MP for best possible ending. So once again it would be beneficial to both SP and MP experience

TBH that's what the prologue levels in games generally are for a nice easyish level that basically teaches you the basics befo throwing you to the wolves. That's why they have a tutorial for the tactical cam and things  in DAI and talk about the interface and all  that in the opening level when you'er working your way to the Temple of Sacred Ashes for example. Also the opening level on the Cerberus base and the first mission in Vancouver with Anderson in ME3. That's why missions like that aer in the game so people get a chance to learn the basics.

Would be nice to have an option to turn it off though in DAI after you've been through it though as you only really need to see it once. Unfortunately they seem to have left out an option for that.

This is not a terrible idea. The "primer/detonator" thing would have been a huge help for me when I was starting. Maybe have a basic tutorial with optional, deeper sections.

Also, t6hey should make explosions more showy; if people saw things really exploding, they'd want to learn how to do it.

A combat tutorial didn't prevent scrubs in Titanfall.

It's not like Titanfall required some sort of skill in the first place.

Maybe during the prologue of the SP game, there can be an optional combat simulator used to make sure the protagonist has their bearings(and meta-wise give the players said bearings). And if SP players don't want that, like for playthroughs after they know the controls, it can be skipped.

Pugging in gold is gravy, definitely don't need voice or any other sort of communication. Can't speak for Plat.

Some people need tutorials, some don't. I usually go to YouTube and watch videos (example: when I want to get better at playing my Death Knight or Rogue), learn the basics, then I practice.

I am sure BioWare will release gameplay videos before release of various classes showing off the build.
