Well. I guess a big part of the problem in ME3 was that MP had differnet gameplay than SP.
More and tougher enemies dealing more damge and forcing a faster run&gun playstyle instead of camping behind the same rock till everything is dead etc. and the game did explain nothing about it. And the gameplay tips during loading screens (made for SP but also showing up in MP) did not help much.
We do not know how much SP and MP gameplay in MEA will differ, but some sort of tutorial dedicated to MP (that unlocks acces to the MP) and a staggered unlock system for Silver/Gold/Platinum like someone suggest sounds like a good idea to avoid frustraed beginners and angry pros.
All three games had combat tutorials, the first thing you did was learn how to run/shoot/do stuff.

^They could explain basic game mechanics. Biotic/tech combos and ammo combos for starters. Took me a long time to figure those ones out, and if it weren't for MP, I never would have realized why certain things exploded.
If MEA is like ME3 then you will have to play some MP for best possible ending. So once again it would be beneficial to both SP and MP experience
I think that they want the meta-game to not be exposed though. It adds more fun to figure it out yourself. "Hey, I just did a Dark Channel on this guy. I guess I'm gonna use my Thro WHOAH!!! COOL!"
EDIT : And my guess is that you play on PC, which is extremely quiet when it comes to players talking to each other. I'm the same way, of course, if it had been like XBox or PS I might not have gotten into the multiplayer crowd as heavily as I did.
There's a combat tutorial in SP - the trick is convincing the MP player to play SP long enough to learn anything. :/

It doesn't tell you anything about the meta-game that is biotic/tech powers, I don't believe.
Nah, I have the game, it gets really boring fast, there's no real challenge on it. Very easy as well.
Sure.
There are noobs and there are pro's in online gaming. It happens, sure call of duty was annoying in search and destroy if there were noobs on your team but it's nothing to get worked up about to much.
MEA's multiplayer could have something like DAMP's proving ground where you can learn the character's abilities without burdening other players.
An optional combat simulator in sp is a good idea, have it be separate from the game so you can test the classes before you start mucking about in CC.
