I was playing today and I just got sad, At what it all has become. I know this is the pot calling the kettle black. I remember being excited to play this game. I remember the weekend challenges. The DLCs and the balance updates.

 

But I was playing tonight and I just realized what really made this game special to me was playing with my friends. And then talking to them on these boards.

 

No one plays anymore, and hell I cant blame them, I dont even know why I keep playing. Even if the next Mass Effect game is good it will never touch this one man, this multiplayer was a cheap add on that I fell in love with,

 

I miss the golden days, all good things must come to an end I guess.

It's not the end. I too fell in love with the mp and so the franchise. I play on Xbox. Every night usually. I am also looking to make New friends online. I remember the old days of weekend challenges. All my friends moved on but I'm stuck in my ways and happy there too.

Bsn was on fire back then. New topics every few minutes plus endless flame wars. In-game what I really miss is the elitism in Gold lobbies. Also, does anyone remember that an Atlas could humiliate a Krogan in a single cast? Hilarious. Guess that was fun to watch, not to experience.

 

Don't feel bad op, just fire up the game and show those new pugs how veterans are doing it.

I'm still on XBOX 360 from time to time, although my recent acquisition of both a One and a sweet PC leaves me little time for you 360 peasants.

 

But Nat/Deckard, if you see me on XBL, ping me! I can probably tear myself away from raging at how stupid Star Wars Battlefront is in order to play ME3MP some more.

It was cool "discovering" the new kits and developing different builds. I remember keeping an eye out for background numbers and videos from Cyonan, peddro and Feneckus - and then applying the information to Xbox. I watched a Sp3c7r3 video of GI Claymore and that really opened me up to Gold (well before Platinum existed). From then on I made some friends and started to do themed matches. I definitely miss that stuff.

 

Heck, I even miss constantly dropping into FBWGG matches it was always fun to not hang out at the bottom of the original map. 

 

But, I'm still playing. I have my Xbox One, but I unplugged it and started picking up ME3MP again. Not enough interesting titles on the current gen, so you'll still see me out pugging.

And good call on describing ME3mp. Cheap but special.

 

I also remember the says when the latest post could be bumped to the second page in no time. Was very hard to keep up back then. I could only follow the to me tops topics. Unlike now, where I'm forced to read everything due to lack of action.

 

The mods also didn't make any sense back then either. I'll never forget my first warning that made me wonder "What is this place?"

There's plenty of us still playing, posting and bitching. Hell, Sinful Force has been trying to liven up the joint, though admittedly in some kind of annoying/alien/retarded/undecipherable way.

Were you just spectators, back then, in the golden days? Wallflowers? Lame-ass hangers-on? Or were you part of the creative force?

If the former, then boo-hoo, 'Elvis' has left the building and you're a sad homeless asshat hanging out in an empty concert hall.

If the latter, why'd you stop and can you begin again?

I played this game near enough from the beginning. I followed this beautiful forum but never participated all those years.

I only started posting when I bumped into Marksmad in a gold game (which im nearly sure was Giant).

I had just came on here to say hi, and then I got sucked into all your BSNonsense.

I joined pretty late so I'm not all watery-eyed about this place.  If it weren't for buddies I made here like Sinful, marksmad and others, I wouldn't even be hanging out.  Even then, I need to decontaminate myself from this place every now and then.  Come to think of it...

I'm with you OP. I miss how this game was in 2012 and early 2013. I'm a pretty nostalgic guy so I can simply hear certain songs from then and I get the urge to fire up ME3.

For example : Imagine Dragons - It's time was one of my favorite songs from 2012 and I instantly think of ME3 and playing with friends. Same with Swedish House Mafia - Don't you worry.
