Single Player.

Whilst I enjoy ME3's multiplayer, Mass Effect is a primarily a single player experience. So the single player campaign should not be compromised for the benefit of multiplayer.

Singleplayer. I have zero interest in multiplayer. I play MMOs for that.

I play BW games for the SP experience only. I just don't care about MP.

No hate intended towards MP crowd just my personal thought.

I don't care about MP, I don't play it (unless it's a MMO and even then I tend to solo those). So my answer is focus on the single player.

Single player, definitely.

I have a neat idea; how about the single player team focus on creating the best single player experience and then have the multiplayer team focus on creating the best multiplayer experience?

I don't know. Could work.

But if you never play it how do you know you wont like it?!

Because there are other people in it.

If I were willing to tolerate multiplayer, I would never have stopped playing tabletop RPGs, and I wouldn't need these games at all.

Single player. MP might be fun (although it gets boring and repetitive real quick), but I play Bioware games for their story and characters.

Is this a question that Han is asking Daft Punk with a blaster on them? Expecting an answer under duress? Well if I had to chose one over the other I would have to know the specifics of the game in question.

If, for example, ME:Andromea is nothing but a space themed DA:Inquistion; filled with pointless fetch quests, and an unremarkable villain; but the multiplayer featured playable Rachni and customization for the multiplayer characters then I would say focus on MP.

If the MP is nothing but a space themed DAMP; with annoying pre-gen characters, and a god awful loot/RNG system; but the main campaign featured an exploration of the unknown 'alien' parts of the Andromeda galaxy then I would say focus on SP.

But again, I would say why not focus on both, and give players the best of both worlds.

Main focus in a Mass Effect game should always be the SP. MP should stay an addition imho, (re)using assets from the SP core game.

I think ME3 did that pretty good, but in MEA additional stuff for one part of the game (like maps, new enemies, all weapons) should be quickly used in the other part, too. Or am I the only one still waiting for a ME3 SP DLC with Collectors?

I agree with the people who say singleplayer and multiplayer should be separate, in the sense I don't have to do 50 multiplayer missions to have a happy ending BUT I'm all for seemless multiplayer into singleplayer integration, like it is done in Dark Souls.
Imagine you could, maybe on some "wild planets" where no big huge main story quest is going on, just "call in" a friend or some random dude from the internet and play, explore and raid together. You could help each other out, have some amazing adventures together and do some teamwork.
But I also want a horde mode like the one in ME3, it was just too good, maybe even expand it, add some co-op missions, even a capture the flag mode or something. People tend to really hate the fact PvP could be a thing in Andromeda, but if it's optional, you don't have to play it right? Some may enjoy it.

So I'd say 50% Singleplayer - 50% Multiplayer, just because I played too much Dark Souls in the past and had way too much fun with it.

I would love to see Bio focus on singleplayer like they did in original ME1. What a great story that was

I like the idea of being able to explore in SP with a friend, though I don't think that the actual dialogue and story would work very well in co-op. SWtoR tried to do it and I think it ended up being really bad. Not sure how the transition between those things in SP would work with a friend around.

The main issue with PvP is balance. If you don't balance for PvP then it's going to be terrible, but if you do then you'll be hurting PvE a lot. Trying to split them and do both means wasting a lot of time that could be spent on more PvE content. It's for that reason that I'm adamant about no PvP in Andromeda.

Well this is an easy one.  They should focus on single player, as that is the game they are selling, and what fans expect.

Now, we know MP will be in there, so don't neglect it, but rather find some simple way to make it a complement to the SP, not a replacement.

I'm on the fence on whether or not it should be integrated into SP mechanics.

                                                                                                   <<<<<<<<<<(0)>>>>>>>>>>

Short answer:

Bio needs to give us the best of both worlds.

On a side note:

A game's SP Campaign is what interests me.

Not of interest is online MP  subscriptions to play a game nor a possible intertwining of SP-MP play, especially if MP becomes mandatory/optional to get rare/powerful equipment from MP levels for easier SP combat when fighting bosses.

One of the issues I have with the SP-MP concept is the "difficulty setting compatibility". That is , I  normally play in "story mode" to get the most of the RPG from the game. However, if the Leak Document regarding SP to MP Hoard Mode play is anywhere near true, will my SP difficulty setting  be reflected when I play in this "hybrid" MP HM, while others may have theirs set at Nightmare?

Think about it.  Those that play on Nightmare setting will have no problem with an easier setting, whereas those that play with a Beginner setting will have a harder time playing on more difficult ones. So, who best benefits when switching from SP to MP during the Single Player Campaign?

It annoys me to no end that the single player part of the game takes away all the resources and budgets from multi player.  Just make a quality MP game and leave off the SP.  I may tolerate SP as long as it has nothing to do with my MP experience.

I would rather have them focus on single player. The multiplayer part of ME3 was fun in 1-2 hour bursts for me, but overall it felt unnecessary to have. For DA:I I honestly forget that there is multiplayer for the game, have never even tried it or wanted to try it.

Not even sure how this is a question, to be honest.   Obviously, single-player.   Multiplayer is fun for a weekend or two now and then but it surely isn't anything I would pay money to own or spend any money on to play it.    If their desire is ever to just turn it into Call of Duty in space, then it won't be a franchise I would ever even bother to follow.     For me, any game is judged by its single-player content.    Multiplayer offering is just value added bonus stuff, but honestly where its good/bad or even non-existent won't alter my opinion of the actual game.
