A very bad thing Bioware should do is try to give a wide range of romance options. Two of three romances options are more than enough and if none of them pleases the player, well, that's no problem at all. I dare say if anyone is going to play Andromeda because they are want to romance someone then something very wrong happened.
One thing that I would like is the character to be able to change the player, and not the other way around. If you pick characters like Viconia, Morrigan and Miranda they are all kind of cold and "evil". But as the player romance them (correct if I'm wrong as I only romanced Miranda and Morrigan in DAO a long time ago) they get "better". Indeed, both Viconia and Morrigan have their child change them. Well, it would be cool if that was harder to do, and if actually the chracter would strongly try tot change the player point of view instead.
Or on a general note: Andromeda should have fewer deeper romances than more pick-a-choice-untill-sex-scene romances. It's time to try something new.
Personally i hope they don't go back to ME1 approach in terms of pure numbers. Romance may not be the sole reason but it's an important part of the roleplay mix for many and I don't think virtually trading away choice completely is acceptable. Personally think 4 open options is the minimum as it offers an element of real choice along gender lines, while hopefully retaining depth.
I'd certainly disagree that Miranda starts evil. She certainly starts cold and i certainly never got the impression that she becomes everyone's friend. Her opening up intimately to Shep as part of the romance path seems a natural of part of the relationship. I like the fact player can sometimes sway companions(Leliana hard/soft, Garrus(renegade/paragon) & i also like that such intervention is sometimes not permament and that character drifts back to their natural state.
Companions all the time seem to try and get player to share their views. If there's a particular issue that is a red line for them i have no issue with that . Tali jumping off a cliff is an extreme example.
