I disagree with the OP. ME:A needs more humorous or engaging average-looking women. I'm pretty sick of female soldiers, scientists, doctors, fugitives, assassins, marsh-dwelling sorceresses, criminals, technicians and terrorists who all look like underwear models, not only making them hard to take seriously but also making my painstakingly customized plain protagonist look like an idiot. Men do tend to appreciate perfect cheekbones on a woman, and vice versa, but as a rule we aren't actually picky when it comes to looks. The extra fanservice is pretty unnecessary, and it doesn't work as a substitute for properly three-dimensional female characters.

Gimme a female LI who looks like a real human being and can hold up the other end of a conversation, please. Preferably also heterosexual, but that's for my own benefit.

Isn't that what they have with Ashley? But then they have to go and put botox in her for ME3.

Personally i definitely don't want plain Li's and don't really want fixed sexualities either. I can appreciate both the intellect of past Mass Effect LI's as well as their physical beauty, one doesn't subtract from the other.

There were loads of humorous women in DA, so it'd be great to have a funny LI for ME:A. Kasumi was funny and gorgeous, but sadly unromanceable. Ashley was funny and gorgeous in ME1. Much more serious later on.

I'd like a humorous male-LI too. Out of all the guys, I'd have romanced Joker in a heartbeat. Garrus was funny too, but I'm not really into turians personally (for romance).

Sera.

Though you might disagree on her looks.

And you have to play as a woman to get to the juicy bits (double entendre).

But damn, did she make me laugh.

I have to disagree.  I didn't find Sera funny or amusing.  She acted like a 10 year old child.  Not really my idea of a humorous woman.

The prank name at the Winter Palace was probably one of my favorite bits of that quest. I can never swap her for someone else there because of it.

Morrigan, Isabella, Jack, Sera....... There aren't a ton of them but Bioware's given us a few female love interests with a good sense of humor. Perhaps these ladies didn't have your sense of humor TC but they all had a good one.

These are the most important traits I look for in women, yet I receive no humorous LI. Would it be too hard for Bioware to put in a LI that plays a couple pranks on you, laughs often, and all around enjoyable to be around as much as she is to look at?

What other things could ME:A have for the perfect female LI?

So, basically you want a Sera but without the horse-ass face? Got it.

Humor is a weird thing to ask because different types of humor, Sera, Isabela, Morrigan, and Jack are all female LIs that make jokes pretty often but all have different sense of humor. Others like Tali or Josephine occasionally joke if it is not part of their personality. Some are the joke like Merrill whose lack of understanding leads to humor.

The only female LIs that seem devoid of humor are Miranda and Cassandra.

I thought Miranda was pretty funny in Citadel DLC with FemShep... space divas, drinking wine, probably talking about shoes and boys all night. Not really in-your-face humor but I like seeing them being girly and failing miserably... kinda like Merrill and my FemHawke and there's that cute Cass scene with the smutty novels..

She's rather playful and witty in Citadel in romanced path too.

At first glance at the title of the thread I read it as "ME:A needs more humongous good looking women"... and I was like "wtf?" for that fraction of a second :D

You're saying it like it's a bad thing. :P

Awww yeah...we had Snu-Snu

I believe Ashley was supposed to be that humorous good looking LI in the Mass Effect Trilogy, however the considering the gravitas of the situation in ME2 and 3, it's understable how it could be overlooked.

Sheesh, I guess ME:A needs a lot. Is it just me or have there been a lot of 'MEA needs this' threads appearing lately?

Well we're short on things we can say ME:A definitely has. And humorous good looking women isn't that bad an addition.

Wow, another one of these threads. I thought they all died out after Inquisition, it seems they're making a return. This is just another reason why romances are not needed.

Even though Jack was funny, I think her looks weren't to OP's standard of beauty. As is the case of all these rediculous threads.

Funny is never played out. Lighthearted characters are the best there ever was.
