I think I speak not only in my name, but also in the name of many other fans frequently poking through these forums.
It is awesome to know for sure, that at E3 we will see both an actual promotional trailer (the E3 2015 trailer is more just like a sneek-peak for me) and actual in-game footage.
But please - do not show any footage that will give us spoilers about events in the plot (except maybe the time setting) or personalities/looks/in-depth characteristics of the teammates and new crew.
As much as it would taste great like junk fook (initially) to know a lot about this before the game gets out, I noticed after myself, that after ME2's and ME3's promotional campaigns - knowing too much just left me less satisfied when I finished those games for the first time, since I knew too much about what and who to expect.
This is just my throught on this, if majority disagrees, then it's still OK
- they will know more about mentioned things, I will just have to refrain myself (somehow
) from watching the E3 material to be taken fully by suprise by the game.
However, what I do want to see A LOT in LARGE quantities is the:
- in-depth presentation of the game world
- how generic look of various races presents itself - i want to see how in general turians and krogans look now, are they going though an artistic revision and have been altered in looks since FrostBite 3 allows more detail or you keep their original looks and just add detail on a ready template from previous games
- how space exploration works now
- how does MAKO handle the driver/how does the driver handle the MAKO
(those ME1 MAKO driving/handling moments still give me creeps)
- how does the inventory/upgrade system work now
- do we have any kind of settlement buidling/defending on our colonies
- come to think of it...do we even have colonies in the game ![]()
- do we once again get an important character ripped out from the game and sold as a 10 $ DLC at Day 1 (this is really inappropriate). I don't mean to sound... mean (or finicky). It is just an unnecessary company move, that just pushes some fans away.
- and of course - the actual release date! ![]()
If we look at Bethesda's announcement of Fallout 4 at the last E3 - they handled this perfectly - after their presentation I knew a lot about the above things, but when I got the play the game I still was fully taken by suprise and it felt great! (aside from the barely existing settlements building tutorial which was grinding my gears)
