Thanks. I used to do that all the time, before I became a score-wh*re. In this instance there was a strong self-preservation instinct at work. Without my buddies to draw some of the aggro, there was no way I was getting through that hack, so prioritizing their revival was actually critically necessary. I probably wouldn't be quite that quick on the draw facing the same situation while playing FBW vs Geth.
The Volus are a big adjustment in playstyle. I'd say they have a longer learning curve than the rest because they not only require using melee and cover very differently, but the low health makes them especially hard to learn (it takes a lot longer to learn when you spend most of your time facceplanting instead of seeing how the kit works.)
Once you get the hang of them, they can actually start to feel like some of the tankier kits in the game. The have an impressive array of damage mitigation abilities, and the Protector is the one with the most tools in his arsenal (I would say he's the most offensively effective, as well, although Remote Mine might offer some DPS advantages with some weapons that flips the numbers the Engineer's way.)
Things were quite bad of a Silver match... I guess I saw 4 praetorians in that hack.
About the Volus, there's one more thing that i'm not sure it works but I'd say it does: revive + shield boost = ally back to his feet with shields, which is nice.
The good thing is that I didn't die as much as I thought, so that's why I think they can tank some damage. I mean... Shield boost has a low cd, and once my shield drops they're instantly back. Of course, sometimes that's not enough and you fall ![]()
