While trying a Dwarf game I found another team I really like that fits my slicing/dicing game style.. Three warriors and Dorian.

Solas and Blackwall with any rogue in the party.
1) Blackwall, Solas and Sera: Blackwall and Solas have their "kids these days" talks, Blackwall and Sera ask Solas if he's ever been intimate with a Fade spirit (funniest conversation all game), and Solas and Sera have their "elfy" conversations (which includes her snide comments about Solas' and Lavellan's relationship).
2) Blackwall, Solas and Cole: Solas and Blackwall still have their "kids these days" talks, Solas and Cole talk about the Fade (which no one but them understands), and Blackwall gets freaked out by everything Cole says. XD
3) Blackwall, Solas and Varric: Still love Blackwall's and Solas' grumpy old veteran shtick, first loved Solas and Varric teasing Cassandra, then later when Solas badgers Varric about the dwarves "giving up" and Varric telling him off about it. Finally, I love Varric pestering Blackwall about how he must have a dark past.
I also enjoy Solas and Blackwall with Dorian, since Dorian and Solas geek about ancient forgotten magic (and Solas lets Dorian know whenever Tevinter magic is actually ancient elven magic), and I kinda like Blackwall and Dorian's petty sniping. Dorian: "I'm not pampered! I'll have you know, I haven't had my grapes peeled in weeks!"

You didn't mention the gloriously evasive answers that Solas and Blackwall give each other when it comes to the specifics of their experiences. So much more obvious once you know their secrets.Solas and Blackwall with any rogue in the party.

I play as female eleven mage most of the time and I usually have two combinations:
One team is with Cassandra, Vivien and Sera and the
Second team is with: Blackwall, Dorian and Cole (whom I kinda dislike bit I need a rouge and I'm not a fan of Varic)

Oh yeah, that's right.
Lots of fun all around.

2. Sera/Cass/Varric
3. Sera/Cass/Viv
Current PT is mainly Sera/Dorian/Bull to unlock the Dorian plus Bull romance finally.

My strongest party was an archer, Sera/Cole, Solas and Bull. We basically smashed everything thrown upon us before it could even get close.
For some weird reason Solas always becomes an important member of my party, tactically speaking, what really pisses me off since he has this habit of quitting.
For banter, I really like Dorian-Sera-Bull. Sera and Solas bicker whenever elven history/culture is brought up, so when I'm doing elf-related quests I bring them both. Solas and Cole chat a lot, as well as Blackwall and Solas, so sometimes I bring the three of them together.
And Vivienne with Solas, their passive-aggressive fights are so amusing!

I do not have a favorite combination. Just whatever combo I feel like. Although I always have a warrior, rogue and mage with my character as whatever.
I usually plan to take Bull at least when dealing with dragons.

For my canon female elf (Rift Mage) it's Solas, Cole and Blackwall.
They were with my character most of the time. I enjoy the party banter between Solas and Cole. Blackwall is good balance for the others. He's the normal guy. The reason why this is my favorite party combination is mainly just for story reasons - they were my Inquisitors closest friends. They were with her during almost all the major story quests and DLC's. Except of course the Trespasser when Dorian had to replace Solas...

Cole, Solas, Cassandra (they're so respectful of one another, it's a pleasure)
Cole, Solas, Varric ("you are a rare soul, Master Tethras")
Cole, anyone, anyone
Vivienne, Solas
My Lavellan's "diplomatic" party is Solas-Varric-Iron Bull both for Wicked Eyes and the Dalish clan in the Exalted Plains. Two main reasons: it makes it clear the Inquisition doesn't care about the Chantry's social order and intends to change things, and it's made of people who are used to spying and information gathering.

Blackwall, Vivienne, Solas, champion inquisitor.
Playing this team right now in the hissing wastes. Right on. They've decimated every venatori camp they've come across effortlessly, and the rifts. Unfortunately, they're struggling with the Sandy Howler dragon. Solas in particular keeps dying. In all my past playthroughs, Solas has been the most badass tank mage, and the last to go down...but on this nightmare run with trials he's falling constantly

Mage elf ( knight enchanter) + Solas, Sera ( witch surprised me cause I didn't like her to start with, but now I veiw her as an annoying little sister.) And Blackwall/ Cassandra.
And post main campaign
Bull + Dorian + Sera/Cole.

Default team: Blackwall + Cole + Dorian/Solas + Mage KE Inquisitor. Blackwall + Dorian + Solas + Rogue DW Inquisitor. Simply because they're my favourite characters. I like Bull as well, but I find Reaver pretty annoying to manage for long stretches of time before the build is complete.
Dragon team: Blackwall + Sera + Bull + Mage KE Inquisitor. Blackwall + Bull + Vivienne + Rogue DW Inquisitor. Dorian and Solas don't get in on the fun, since I find that Necromancer and Rift Mage don't fare well against dragons, because none of their signature abilities actually affect them.
JoH team: Cassandra + Varric + Solas, to match Ameridan's crew, even though I find Cassandra to be far less durable as a tank than Blackwall, even with identical abilities (barring their specialization, of course).
Descent team: Blackwall + Varric (to get his perspective on "real dwarves") + Dorian/Solas
Trespasser team: Blackwall + Dorian/Cole + Bull (because qunari).
