If you could switch 2 romance options, who would you cut, and who would replace them?

The only character I might've romanced besides Solas and Cullen would've been Dorian, had he been straight/bi. But I actually don't mind being his friend. I'm all for characters having their own preferences. Makes them more real to me.

Who to take out....well, they can take out all of the female LI's as I don't do them anyway and they can have Blackwall too. He seems more like a father-figure or a mentor. No way any of my characters would tap that.

I must say though, I am really glad they decided to put in Solas and Cullen. If they hadn't, I would've been quite disappointed. As Blackwall is just generally unappealing to me and Iron Bull has the tendency to make me feel a bit dirty. (Though I haven't finished a romance with him yet so it might get better.)

I would cut Blackwall and Cullen and replace them with Vivienne and Varric.

Ack, it is always those who enjoyed the romances available to them that make these kinds of statements. I mean imagine if both Cullen and Solas had been m/m, just like Dorian. (Ignore the fact that this wouldn't make sense for Cullen AT ALL lol) You say without Cullen and Solas you would've been very disappointed.

"It was so realistic, I love the way s/he rejected me" only carries weight if every character you actually wanted to romance rejected you - and you still loved the game.

(Just some thinky thoughts)

I also realized I completely forgot about Solas.

Eh, just remove him then. I agree, too big of a character to be romanceable.

Can't agree. I loved the drama, and it is true drama; i.e., the Inquisitor has a decision to make. Having that romance go south for the winter was a big shocker and then a great "yeah, something more than hearts and flowers," ending.

I would lose Blackwall simply because I am being selfish and while I liked him well enough, he just didn't do it for me romantically. I'd trade Sera in for Scout Harding. The game was too Elf-heavy.  Instead of Blackwall, why not Stroud? Now THAT would have been a tough decision, right? I liked Stroud in DA:II, (from what little we saw of him), and Bioware's backstory for him in Inquisition was much as I had pictured it (great commander, great leader and mentor of men). Figure out a way to bring him in about the same time as Hawke, have the romance burn quick and hot, and you have a recipe for tears at the great decision point! (And since Alistair could technically be dead, you wouldn't have THOSE issues, either.) [edited to add content]

Get rid of Blackwall, I found him to be an all around 'ick' character who's backstory was hard to sympathize with. I was hoping Zevran was going to make an appearance like he did in DA2, even though he didn't stick around he was good for a quickie. I'd like to see Krem get a romantic storyline, Krem was awesome, so is Harding and Dagna.

I don't really get what you're asking. I already stated that if they weren't available, I'd have been disappointed. Doesn't really matter if they would've been unavailable whilst playing as a female or not available at all.
Or am I not allowed to say I liked Dorian as he is? I liked Anders' romance too but I did find it cheap that everyone could romance everyone, no matter what or who you were.
Also, I doubt that for me at least, there will ever be a scenario where I don't find at least someone fun to romance. Even in the ME series there's Kaidan. I prefer humans for Shepard, dislike Jacob and I don't do s/s romances. Still liked the game even though I could've done with a James romance. But in his case I also do understand why we don't get him and it's fine.

While I can't stand Sera, she's not that bad, and I have to admit she's grown on me, doing a char now that's romancing her. I'm just saying this because I'm surprised when I considered the question that I wouldn't cut her, but instead I'd cut Josie. Her romance did nothing for me. I just did it because it felt like the lesser bad (what can I say, DA:I's options didn't speak to me). With that said though, I'd sorely miss the dueling scene. That guy was awesome, screw Leliana's threats I would have ditched Josie in favor of that guy. Even though I'm sure it had much to do with the animations, I do fencing and I appreciated that he used actual fencing moves.

I'd also cut Blackwall, because after the reveal I just cannot stomach him. I don't fully buy that he is that sorry, rather, he is and at the same time he is not seeing as how for the most part Thom didn't have a problem impersonating Blackwall. It's not like I believe that he's consciously lying about being sorry, I just think that he is unconciously a hypocrite, which is kind of sad, but not enough for me to forgive him.

I would have put in Viv, I like how she is right not, and that she turns you down, but I'd also love to see how a relationship between her and the Inquisitor would develop.

As for the other one. I can see Hardin, probably wouldn't do it myself but I can see it. Or Krem, not that I'm biased in favor of Hale's voiceacting or anything.

@Midnight bliss, you never know, they might make Krem a romance option in DA4, yeah I am aware that Krem can be set up with Maryden by Cole.

I am absolutely certain they won't, for one simple reason: Krem can be dead.

@Hanako, while this is true.  What's to say that they won't bring back Krem, they did it with Lelianna.  Admittedly it is a very slim chance.

When they brought Leliana back, she wasn't a romance. No character who could be dead have been love interests, unless it is continuing the romance from a game where they were alive.

Well, I've never managed to garner enough interest in Iron Bull or Blackwall to bother romancing them so I'd cut them. I'd add, Varric or Lace or Krem or Barris.

Cut Blackwall and Iron Bull

Replace with Leliana and Krem

But that's just personal preference and highly unrealistic since Blackwall and Iron Bull both are companions and Leliana and Krem are not.
I like Iron Bull as a character but the romance felt very weird and forced (I'm not talking about the BDSM part). Aaaaaand I absolutely can't stand Blackwall, so there's that.

I feel the same way about Sera. Hated her guts at first but grew to like her.

I'm not really sure which romance i'd cut, probably none of them, since i'm sure BW spent a few sleepless nights (read as weeks/months maybe?) working on all of them... BUT if i could just add the 2 romances in that i'd like, it'd be Harding and Dagna.

Blackwall and Iron Bull do nothing for me. I'd find a way to involve Servis and Abelas more heavily in the story and write romances for them.

I can't imagine sacking any other LI since I know every one of them has their own fans (even if I only romance one guy in this game :P and seemed to be stuck on him  )

As long as I have my Cullen then hey, everything's fine to stay as it is.

But if I reaaaallly really have to sack anyone from the romance department, I'd sack Sera (she feels too much of a little sister to my inquisitor. So nope)

And probably replace her with Otranto.

Then perhaps Solas, since he feels too much like a hahren for my Lavellan. And replace him with... Abelas? (switch one hahren with another one except grumpier  not I good move I suppose) or maybe perhaps and most definitely.. Ser Barris
