And one of the main intents behind bullies is to have fun, or raise morale, with their friends at another person's expense. What Sera did was bullying.

I suppose that could be argued, but one-off instances of bullying are far from the worst thing the Inquisition has done to improve its chances.

Which operations?

If you pick Leliana:

Dagna has resolved her Tevinter templar issue by herself, alarmingly:

No more trouble from assassins, Inquisitor. Mage-hunters always aim too high. Don't mind the silhouettes. They'll fade with a good rain.

Arcanist Dagna

The fact it isn't one of the worst things the Inquisitor can do doesn't mean it isn't bad.

That's not murder though. That's self-defense since said assassins were after her.

One who humiliates or degrades you is not a friend.

Having a prank played on you by a friend is neither of those things. Most people can take a joke from a person they know well, and realise it's not serious.

Both the thing you and Sera do to Cullen and Josephine was done to humiliate and degrade them, from sticking something under Cullen's desk to humiliate him with his troops and having a bucket of water fall either on Josephine or a person she is to meet with, both of which are humiliating(not to mention possibly ruin what could be a very important meeting for the Inquisition). And judging by Josephine's reaction, she didn't find it humorous.

How is sticking something under Cullen's desk humiliating

I fail to see how making pencils roll off Cullen's uneven desk is humiliating or degrading. =/

I'd definitely find anything like that funny, not humiliating.

It's exactly the type of thing many of the people I'm friends with would do to me, and exactly the type of thing I'd do to get them back! It's all good fun!  :P

I was expecting Solas to get the most hate, I had forgotten how much some people dislike Sera. I adore both of them...Vivienne on the other hand. *sneer*

Huh, really? From what I've seen, Solas is one of the most popular options!

I'd have expected Blackwall to get more hate, I didn't think many people liked him!

I honestly find good things in everyone, Solas is my least LEAST favorite tho. I can deal with Vivienne, I think she is a character I love to hate but hate to love.
She's like a reality TV character who is just a complete **** but she brings in the views, the drama and the laughter.

You're using a definition of bullying here that I don't recognize.

Wait.... you think those pranks were humiliating? Degrading? OK, your definition makes more sense now, but I don't know what game you were playing.

Because Cullen likes to keep everything neat and tidy on his desk, so making it so that won't work and then telling everyone about it would be embarrassing, or "make him seem like people" as Sera puts it. That's why Sera does that prank: to embarrass Cullen.

I'd definitely find anything like that funny, not humiliating.

Good for you. Others wouldn't, so doing it anyway with the purpose to humiliate is bullying them.

Remind me never to hang out with you or your friends then.

Well, Solas will get his comeuppance in the next game.

Yes, I do. I played Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Doing it to a person you don't know and who can't take it is bullying. Cullen and Josephine are not the type who can't take a joke from a friend though.

I'd agree with you staying far away from me and the people I know if you would be upset from something as simple as getting a bit of water splashed on you, or a pen rolling off your desk...

Again, we have ingame evidence that at least one can't. Therefore it is not something a friend would do, but a bully.

To intentionally misquote Solas; "Sera is no more a bully than I am a horse."

I would probably toss Solas' romance in favour of a more complete romance with Harding. Thing is, despite fangirls insisting that it is the best romance because it's all tragic and stuff, all of the romance scenes except the last one are just piggybacked on to existing scenes. It's totally stapled-on, saved only by some excellent voice acting from Gareth David-Lloyd.

Besides, you're totally going to have to kill him in the next game after he turns evil.

I have very little regard for Vivienne, and since I have no desire to ever romance her I wouldn't miss having her as a romance option. I would much, much rather have Varric instead, have always wanted him since DA2....  :P

Otherwise....hmm, I have no particular issue or dislike for any of the other romance options in DAI. If I had to choose one to replace, as some others have pointed out, it would probably be Solas. He is a very interesting character for sure, and I'll probably romance him one day more out of curiosity than anything, but out of all the options he is the one that least feels..."right" to be a romance option for lack of a better way to put it. (I can only handle tragic romances in small doses...)

I'll replace him as a romance option with Cullen being BI or Pan or something, all I know is that my male Inquisitors are missing out.  :P

This is only true if the prankster actually knows that in advance and does the prank anyway. Otherwise, it's just a mistake

To answer the original question, like I'd like to see Harding in the game as a bisexual option. I'd lose Solas but put some of the romance-specific lore into his friendship path. I think I'd also make Cullen bisexual and available to all races.

I truly must ask where the priorities of people are who ask for non-companions to become romance options.

They have less content. The only way Cullen gets away with it is that his arc takes place over three games. Josephine is completely screwed by her lack of content, leading to an annoyingly rushed and barren romance.

In my case I find Harding a really likeable character and I'd like to get to know her more. To be frank in terms of companions I'd swap her for Varric in an instant. I loved him in DA2 but he felt pretty incidental in Inquisition.
