I just got Mass Effect 2, started playing i didn't notice it till a little into the gabe that the objective marker in the right hand corner of the screen was blinking uncontrollably and letting off a annoying high pitched sound. Has anyone heard of this bug, if not is there any way to turn it off?

This topic looks dead but I just recently purchased Mass Effect2 and I'm having the same issue. It doesn't happen every time I start and play the game, but I would say 50% of the time it's happening and is quite annoying.

Any help with a resolution would be appreciated.
