As someone whom has played every ME on insanity, as most of you, I always found it to be lacking when it came to difficulty. Enemy A.I being one the main reason. But not only that, it was also the inability for enemies to utilize the same aid Shepard and his companions processed. That being said I'd like if certain enemies, mainly enemies whom are wearing armor or whom possess biotics, to be able to regenerate shield or barriers and utilize medi-gel; if only for a set number of times on higher difficulties. I think certain enemy's shields or barriers should work the same as the player's; if they're in cover their shields or barriers should be able to regenerate at the same rate as the player's. Also they should be able to use medi-gel atleast once. I found it a little odd that some enemies, like Cerberus troops, or mercenaries never had the tech within their armors to have shield regeneration, or medi-gel capabilities. I would like that fixed.

The Banshee on the other hand was a great example of this. After a certain point, if not being attacked, her barriers would slowly regenerate. I'd like to see that with more enemies.

I'd say on the highest difficulties, let their shields regenerate. Not their health. My guess is that with Frostbite, the AI will be significantly improved. This is 2016, not 2012.

This reminds me of the clone fight in Citadel, since the clone will consume medigel as the fight progresses. This does make the fight much longer though. I imagine if we got swaths of enemies that were able to use medigel, fights would last quite a while unless we can get a one-shot kill.

Good, less fights but more meaningful ones.

Health doesn't regenerate for the player or enemies now, unless your playing vorcha in MP, so I don't see why that would change?

Enemy shields can and do regen in ME1 and ME3.  In ME2 it is really only the Geth that can regen shields (via geth shield boost of course).

In ME3 the delay is fairly long, and the regen percent is a good deal lower than max shields, which is why it is largely not noticeable.  The bigger issue was how many unprotected targets there were in the first place.

How about bringing back the old Armor, health, and shields stacked nicely on eachother from ME2? you can make brutes have barriers in armax arsenal but it's still not challenging. I think adding 8 brutes on menae instead of 3 would make things harder also

The enemy strategy and tactics worked fantastically in me3, to the point i'd say they don't need medigel.

They should focus on tactics and shields/barriers/armour.

Strategy in me3 was to pin you down then force you out as reinforcements arrive and/or hit your flanks trying to penetrate your line.

But an over reliance on pinning the player down and then launching grenades made it predictable at higher difficulty levels. Its not hard to pick up when the aim is to stay alive.

Here come the grenades. Knock off an engineer kill centurion check your flanks wait for the nemesis and keep an eye out for phantoms. Just keep moving from behind cover and preempt your enemy.

The ability to strip shields and barriers makes it almost too easy. I prefer it be more difficult to do with less down time and slightly increased health bars. Armour is also too easy to weaken.

They made strides with the reaper forces tactics through diversity, it was a huge strength for them, send in the husks, pin you down, marauders and cannibals,(SPIDERS!) grenades and a ravager now brutes and banshees. You can hardly stay still.

Its that kind of pressure and weight of numbers that makes up for medigel. You as player need to use your own wisely.

So you'd need to reduce the number of enemy units significantly to make up for the fact that they aren't dying and diversity suffers through lack of numbers, which affects tactics you end up with pvp style play Imo.

Not entirely bad for mp but campaign needs diversity from enemy types. Not a fan of drawn out engagements with bullet sponges myself.

ME1 on insanity = krogans spamming immunity > 5 minutes of constant unloading ammo into them, ugh > then get charged and whacked by them to be insta killed

They should be able to do it until it annoys me. Then, it will be OP and unacceptable.

At that point, I will dutifully return to the forums in order to rant and rage calmly express the urgent need to nerf the übermook's shield regeneration because it makes the whole #@*&ing game broken.
