Give me twenty minutes - my iPads gonna die on me (Legit excuse).

And we really have no idea about who are the ArchDemons? Are they the Evenuras? Or are they simply powerful dragons that got corrupted otherwise? Why are the Darkspawn existing? What happened to get them Darkspawn? Is a Darkspawn Magister Broodmother which stared it all (Becuase one of the Arhdemons is female) ? How did the Magisters enter the Black City? What is the Black City? Was it Golden originally? How did the taint start? Why did it turn people into monsters into the first place....

Lol, we have no IDEA! Besides for the fact that WOT says all Darkspawn Magisters were male - I don't think so as one of the ArchDemons is female... So wouldn't that make her Magister a female? Well - that also doesn't make sense to me.

Yeah, there are lots of things we don't know, but that doesn't mean its going to be a plot hole. Bioware had all the lore stuff planned out from the start, they know the answers to all these questions. Just because they haven't told us all the secrets when we are only halfway through the story doesn't mean there's a problem.

I feel the inquisitor lost the hand deliberately, as in it was a deliberate decision on the parts of the devs so they could justify not using them as a protagonist.  You can't wield a bow (except for that weird thing if you join the Red Jennies), you can't wield a staff properly, a two handed sword/axe/hammer.  They've been disabled rather thoroughly.  The only class that could overcome this is the Mage, because you can still do a helluva lot of magic without the hand and with a staff in one hand only.

Plus, Inky explicitly states during at least one of the conversation options in the exalted council that their adventuring days are over.

I feel at best they'll be someone you meet regularly, an ally from down south.  They'll be their when you confront Solas, but not in a true player capacity.  A companion, if you will.

Considering the history of DA main characters so far I would say the MC for DA4 is going to be a new one. And that is a good thing because by the end of DAI Inquisitor is just too big. Too important, too influential.

I would have liked to play Warden more but I would say that a new character for new story is good. In DA at least.

Is this plausible? I mean I know hes kind of missing a limb but in a world with magic im sure that shouldn't be too much of a problem. The way things ended it just seemed as though Solas and the inquisitor have some unfinished business. With Solas going to destroy the world and revert it back to the way it was before he created the veil, it seems fitting that the one who will stop him will be the inquisitor. They've been together since the beginning and can be considered the best of friends, (even more if you romanced him) Am I the only one in thinking that it would be an amazing story to see a solasmancer/good friend of solas have to be the one who eventually puts solas down? Additionally, we see the inquisitor stab a knife in the middle of tevinter on the map (pretty subtle bioware). I know they said they wanted dragon age to have new protagonists every game, but it seems like a much better story could be told if they continue with the same character as before. What do you guys think? Thank you all for reading this and I look forward towards reading your input.

Yup, I want to see the Inquisitor again! #BringBackTheInquisitor :) !

Ah.  Well there has been...at least three to my knowledge, and a couple taking the opposite position.

My opinion is rather ambivalent to the whole thing.  I want the Inquisitor back as he player character very, very much and continue their story, especially Kara Trev, but I do not see BioWare doing it and I see nothing in Tresspassers narrative to really suggest the Inquisitor will be back as the hero for DA 4. Quite the opposite in fact.

Yeah, one thread was mine :) ! Thanks to everybody who voted for the Inquisitor ^^!

I would prefer if they remain all a mystery and keep continue to make good games,Bioware is renowned to be not very good when it comes to tie up everything.

I would imagine, not. Although the Inquisition will likely appear. I would hope that the likenesses of your Inquisitor and Hawke are acquirable for use in future games.

I think we'll be the inquisitor again. Instead of a magic hand we will have a... robotic hand or something

And I think we will be operating outside of the inquisition. Perhaps we will go to Tevinter and gather new companions.

I'm ok with this. Yeah, the inquisitor was kinda bland and dull, but maybe they'll actually fix this in the next game.

To be fair though I wouldn't mind playing as a Tevinter Magister either =P

The inquisitor will at least be an important political person, unless Bioware will treat them as a '' FotM '' hero who nobody cares about now that the world is '' saved. ''

I don't think the Inquisitor is going to be the "main" protagonist. I think a good path would be the dual protagonist approach, where we have the new PC being the "boots on the ground", and the Inquisitor handling logistics in a position of leadership (getting into the nitty-gritty of directing an organization that was glossed over in DA3).

Agreed.

While I'd love to have my Adaar back again, I think I'd prefer his role to be akin to Leliana or Morrigan's--an advisor or source of knowledge.  Maybe even the (primarily non-combat) leader of a new organization, with the PC growing into being their top lieutenant.  If the war table returned, it could take the form of the PC choosing missions that are assigned to them.

Or not.  I think I'd be happy even if the Inquisitor had a similar role to that of Hawke--present for a couple of missions.  But I think they'll factor into the story a bit more than that, especially if they disband the Inquisition and choose to go after Solas.

If so, that's disgusting and detestable of Bioware.

I'd be 'hooked' right away if my quizzy was included though i might be a bit 'stumped' as to why.  I'd 'point' out the flaws in this concept if I could.  Could be an 'arms' race between solas and the Inquisition.  I would 'applaude' the story line probably and give the writers a hearty 'slap' on the back.  Might be better if we 'hand' the main story line off to another person though.

I never said plot hole, I said HALF BAKED! And even if they do -it has been better reasonable, not rubbish. And I said, like twenty times, half baked awnsers. Meaning that they'll go dig themselves into a whole becuase they can't awnser old questions while making new questions - I hate ambiguity when it has to do with that sort of thing... I want a clear, direct awnsers when it comes down to it.

Agreed! Weekes did an awesome job writing Cole and Solas. I am sure he can do sth with the Inquisitor too :) !

I doubt Bioware will change the new protagonist model for the next title. Nor do I think they should. Seems to have worked well so far in the DA series. I'm still conflicted about Hawke's reappearance in DA:I. On one hand, yay! Hawke! On the other, most of the dialog left me with a feeling of "That is not the reaction my Hawke would have had!"

I'm sure there will, at the very least, be codex's and NPC's talking about the Inquisitor. The inquisitor appearing as a controllable character though? Push that thought out of your head.

Oh, I agree. Tho you gotta admit that the male voice did an awesome job. I had an impression that Hawke was really tired of living in the world of conflicts.

I see the Inquisitor coming back but like most Bioware games there will be a new PC. Maybe the new hero could be the successor to the Inquisition.

Ugh... It reminds me that there will be a new protagonist in ME too and I am just like ... Meh... I loved Shepard "cult" and going back to old romances and the Normandy and the same goddamn Citadel ;(. Tho it is a pity Bioware did not continue some in ME 2 (for example Kaidan). Dang it, I want my Inquisitor back at least -,- !

Imo, they did it to justify a new element - an upgradable prosthetic. It would not make sense for them  to say "hey, you know, your Inquisitor lost her/his arm after the events of the Trespasser DLC. We did not show it, but  it's not a problem, right? Do not worry, we replaced it with something cool!"

I'm definitely not excited for ME's new protagonist either. However, my signature will ensure it's at least... interesting :P

If we get a new main character can we please get the ability to choose where they're from (Val Royeaux, Kirkwall, etc.) as part of the creation process?

That would definitely be cool, but I don't know if they'd do it in addition to race-selection.
