I doubt it. The Inquisitor may either make a cameo appearance, or be mentioned in letters and codexes in a future DA game.
I wouldn't be opposed to my Inquisitor being the Admiral Hackett of DA4, in small doses of course.

I'm still convinced that would work out at least as badly as Hawke if we can't control them.
Much as I hope for that as an ideal scenario, I'm skeptical that Bioware is willing to do it.I'm still convinced that would work out at least as badly as Hawke if we can't control them.

My ideal Inky cameo:
[New PC beats Solas in final assault, and the former Inquisitor kicks the door in, and puts a bolt between Solas' eyes with her prosthetic crossbow]
If they're going to use the severed hand as an excuse to toss them aside, take them out of the fight, and maybe if they're lucky be an advisor to the new random Joe lv 1 PC then I wish they'd just killed off the Inquisitor at the end of the base game or in Trespasser instead.
No one kills Inquisitor Furiosa.
Because including past PCs who can die as companions would be a massive resource issueSo your companions would include a few strong new characters but also can include Hero of Fereldan, if they survived, the Inquisitor, and Hawke (if they survived), and I don't see why not.
What do you mean resource issue? You mean it would be too le tiring for Bioware to write all the necessary possibilities?Because including past PCs who can die as companions would be a massive resource issue
Even an alive one can cause issues

Stop complaining and do it. I throw my money at then in advance.
I honestly don't think it would be that big an issue. They already wrote a game in which you can kick certain companions or not recruit them at all. They already wrote different dialogues for all those companions uniquely dependant on where they are in the game. For instance, in DA2 if you bring Fenris to the gallows, a big convo starts with him on slavery. When you come upon a cache, you get points with Sera.Sadly in reality, developers don't have unlimited time and resources to write around every possibility

Circumstance-dependent character conversations and events are already something they program for, and the three heroes are honestly not that different if all simultaneously alive, and if they died, can simply not be in the team, as easily as Sera didn't need to be in your team.
I don't think it's that crazy, to be honest, and I would be disappointed if they didn't give it a shot.
Voices? There were , what, three different voice actors for each? Only one voice actor for Hawke, actually. HoF and Inquisitor's voice actors were not famous and I'm sure could be replaced if they truly rejected the opportunity to work with Bioware again. Skill sets? Please, you can customize all companions anyhow. You can hand Sera daggers and give Cole a bow - this is nothing. You could directly import Commander Shepard's attributes in ME3 from before, as well, if you want exact skill trees preserved. All the moves are identical in animations, hero or companion. The biggest problem lies within the voices for them and the new PC, the customization, the move sets, etc
They'll have an better chance at that with the dual protagonist route
No one kills Inquisitor Furiosa.
Instead they'll likely make her completely helpless due to the loss of the hand and she'll be a desk-jockey quest giver for some new nobody. Is that better?

It would be a blessing, did you HEAR the Inquisitor's voice acting? I mean, I don't want to hurt their feelings or whatever but Maker, find me a highschool theater student from your local suburb and I could get a better performance. The HoF would need voices and I highly doubt Bioware is really gonna replace voices for the Inquisitor. You also seem to forgot that they can be multiple classes which is what I mean by skill sets
The Inquisitor should be the sole reason why our new Protagonist is going after Solas, I see the new PC as pupil to the Inquisitor
LOL you gave me a great mind image.... It's glorious! It would be a blessing, did you HEAR the Inquisitor's voice acting? I mean, I don't want to hurt their feelings or whatever but Maker, find me a highschool theater student from your local suburb and I could get a better performance.
Whenever I criticize the game on this board I feel like I'm walking into the Electronic Arts HQ with my pajamas on and daring to insult an EA exec in his face and then he turns to me and says "and who do you think you are" and waves condescendingly at my pitiful pajamas.

For Hawke and the Inquisitor you're talking six VAs total. 2F/2M for Inquisitor, and 1F/1M for Hawke. That's not cheap.
I doubt that - I think Alix is doing a great job voicing the inquisitor, and would love to have her back. Why else was Carver-Bethany shoved to one side after Act 1 of DA2?
Because either or both could be dead.

This is very much of a personal preference, and I do wish people would stop remarking on the VAs like it's some universal truth that they were bad. I quite like HHP as my Inquisitor, have never considered him bland or boring, and can RP just fine.
Also, while some may not care for whichever VA, Bioware has become rather known for their returning VAs for all sorts of characters (major and minor), so I really rather doubt that they wouldn't have returning Inquisitor VAs unless there were some major scheduling conflict or some other reason.
The main reason they switched Greg Ellis from Anders in DA2 was because Cullen featured more prominently in that game, and also because the entire Anders character had a different, darker vibe than in DAA.
Well I have no issue with my Inquisitor being a Chessmaster and Admiral Hackett-ish, doesn't really sound that useless to me so yes
Yeah I'll stick with dead.
