It's not just that. Phantom bubble has a certain amount of cooldown. So if you Lash again just as it's wearing off, it'll catch her before she can bubble again. Depending on the distance from her, you can just Lash again instantly and it'll catch her. Or just spamming Lash over and over again until the timing get's found on it's own is another method.

 

Or if she's close enough, she won't bubble as she's programmed to try to attack you, or dodge you which will come in too late and catch her in her dodge/attack start up animation.

 

 

Yesterday on Condor from the middle Mako I warped something still being tossed toward me by Lash from the top of the mountain above ammo box. And just before it landed, the Warp landed and rocketed the enemy very high into the air and off the map toward that open place Condor hack area. Everybody had to of seen that because it was the last enemy with the orange last enemy curser on it. Will try to replicate it again, as I always use faster cooldown evolution 5 on Lash, because I get a kick out of really fast Lash to other power combos (it's almost just as fast as Pull to Reave combos, but works on shielded enemies too). And this was the first time I tried to Warp enemies while just starting to get ragg-dolled by Lash, since Lash start up animation can be so slow, and Lash cooldown be so almost instant fast.

I really like the Slasher and he's one of my best kits by far, and definitely this. I used to not take Lash on him, and it's quite viable if I'm not on-host, but if I'm on-host, Phantoms just take too long to kill. I'll happily skip some power damage or weapon damage for the ability to trivialize the most OP enemy in the game (yep, more OP than Primes, as Primes actually die when I attack them).

Yeah that was me. You wrecked it by the way. Nice job. I remember sitting next to you waiting for extraction while the juggernaut camped LZ like a newb wasting his gels.

It's not just that for me. I get more of a kick from kits that have more moves to pull off during a match for greater variety. Just Warp and Nades feel too much like a weapons platforms to me. Where's the beef?

 

Nothing wrong with weapon platforms, but there's plenty of that in this game so I try not to skip powers on too many kits or too often (but I always skip Shockwave on BatSent for some reason).

Lash = more fun.

 

No Lash = more powerful overall.

 

Choose accordingly.

Slasher is the only kit in the game who can detonate four biotic combos: Warp+Lash, Lash+Warp (a bit tricky, but doable), Warp+Nades, Lash+Nades.

 *Cough* Warp>Singularity, Singularity with detonate>Warped target, Warp>Shockwave,  Singularity>Shockwave  Maybe even lifting shockwave +warp or shockwave(never seen those though because everyone likes recycle on shockwave)
