I do too. Come back, you sexy asari ! I know you were deeply in love with BM2, but we still have cool mods around here, one of them may be the new partner you're looking for...
On topic : same as OP, plus the addition of DLCs, to discover new characters and powers. I also miss when I was still experimenting new builds, now I've pretty much tried everything that is not excessively hipster.

Really? Everytime he made appearance I thought "Oh, young Snape.". Maybe, because of the 1st leader "Supreme Gollum" and his name. Snape is a weak villain - getting bested by a bloody untrained force sensitive?
I hope it isn't the "new storytelling paradigm" in general. How does this happen? Is it collaborative writing? Publishers talking into the plot? I hope it doesn't carry over to my favourite game franchise. I mean the movie was well-made, yea - but it just doesn't cut it. Don't know yet what's worse: The Prequel kiddy movies or this collation of plot fragments.

Well yeah, that writing is kinda crap, the guy is supposed
Spoilerand is tested way too much. But them writers decided to skip the "training/mentor" chapter/component in this opus. Maybe a good idea for a change, but poor implementing in practice. But i liked the actor and his dialogue
i think they were to main writers taking a lot of inuputs. How did they end up just doing a weak version of the 77 movie, i m still puzzled. Still feels a lot better that the stupid preqels (at least I and II)
Maybe it's the problem of trying to cram in too much: fanservice + new story. Who knows what got cut out. The stormtrooper captain looked like there was something cut (from story / screenplay). Definitely it's a thing that needs improving.
Interestingly, the new MEA game might face the very same problems like the Star Wars continuation, storywise.

If a movie needs a novel to make sense, then the movie is crap. Force Awakens was like a cover of a greatest hits album, there was nothing new, just rehashed elements. One can say a lot of things about George Lucas, but at least he had original ideas. While the acting was better for the most part, it still suffered from the fact that Hollywood is as subtle as a hammer.
There are ~30 years between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens and they didn't even bother to mention that time period? What happened to the Empire after Palpatine died? Was there a New Republic? Why is Leia with the Resistance, can't she get proper military help from the Republic? Who was that old guy in the beginning? Why do they need the complete course to find Luke, wouldn't the destination be enough? Where did Rey come from? Why is the Falcon on Jakku? How did the First Order manage to build a planet-sized weapon? How does BB-8 get up the stairs?
I was being fair to the movie by not judging it based on the EU. Just by itself and compared to the 6 previous movies. It's not bad compared to the prequels but damn, it could have been so much better. It might be a good intro for a new trilogy later on but right now? Underwhelmed.
If I do compare it to the EU, to everything that happened there after the Battle of Yavin... wow. The Force Awakens crapped all over 30+ years of Star Wars history. They took Ben Skywalker and Jacen Solo, mixed them up and shaped them into a whiny, spoiled, tantrum throwing brat. The Starkiller is both a reference to Luke's original design and the superweapons from the EU (Sun Crusher, Star Forge).
We could have had a Grand Admiral Thrawn... but instead we get yet another whiny Skywalker brat. Yay.

Well, if the thread was original and not something we discussed in explicit detail several times already, then we'd probably stay on topic.

All need to chill with complaining about derailing. It's the only lifeline this forum has left. Besides, derailing leads to some very interesting discussion sometimes. If you don't agree, you don't have to read it, as that's a much better option then getting BioMods to shut everyone up. As if this place isn't quite enough.
