Never seen the new Star Wars movie. But just asked my brother who is currently on the can if the new Star Wars movie was better then the new Trilogy after I read SMR post, and he said "Yes. But not much. It really, really sucked." So SMR's post in turn deserves a like.

It was a good movie, but it didn't have a good Star Wars vibe to it.
Would've been much more potential in the KOTOR times, but they couldn't have banked so much $$$ without Harrison Ford.
I really wanted to see a dark themed, almost a thriller Star Wars movie, with some ancient Sith and more psychological action rather than just X-Wings and Tie Fighters shooting each other out of the sky.
I also miss the Atlas hit not doing DoT. I hate that ****.

How, exactly, is Solo going to be alive? After being impaled on a light saber and cast into an abyss? I mean okay, the movie didn't make much of a sense already, but that would make it a conedy, lol.Phasma may still be alive, same as Han Solo. Sequel bait etc.
Besides, Han clearly dies for reasons that have nothing to do with the set or the plot, so if you're expecting him to be back in full form rather than as a flashback/ghost/whatever I think you're going to be disappointed...
See, you were doing good... Until #3a XDHere's The List, in order of bestness:
1 - The Empire Strikes Back
2 - A New Hope
3a - Return of the Jedi
3b - The Force Awakens
(These are arguably interchangable, as Jedi had some long draggy moments as well as utter nonsense, but offset by some kickass scenes with Luke and Vader)
5 - Revenge of the Sith
6 - Attack of the Clones
7 - The Phantom Menace
8 - Star Wars Christmas Special
So as you can see, The Force Awakens is solid in the upper 50% of best Star Wars movies.

I bet Ford said something like: "OK, one more time and then I'm out of it."

It's no secret that he really doesn't enjoy playing the role of Han Solo, he wanted the character to die in Return of the Jedi, and he would much rather be making another Indiana Jones. Han is certainly dead now.

Yup. I cannot even be mad at him for that, to be honest. Though he is cast for SW VIII, my money's on flashbacks.

Craig played the storm trooper? Lol. I guess he's a Star Wars fan?
Yup.
Simon Pegg was in it, too. As the alien overseer on Jakku, who traded Rey's scrap in for food.
Nigel Godrich, radiohead producer does one stormtrooper too

yeah, and Chewbaka was supposed to be dead in some Yatku war or smtg, after jedi returned
Really this "empire" bis is the start of all the problem in this new trilogy. Why wld they restart this stuff !?

Chewbacca died 25 years after the Battle of Yavin while rescuing civilians and Anakin Solo. A moon was weaponized and smashed into a planet, the Falcon barely made it out... Chewy didn't.

Weekend ops and balance changes are the biggest ones. There was also FBWGG and the Rio box of shame, the combat drone that turned banshees into deer in headlights, the wait (and disappointment) for retaliation kits and the absurd amount of shield boost Voluses in lobbies before the juggy.
Also ya bunch of dorks. Force awakens was great. ![]()

absolutely everything from weekend operations, facing every new wave with great enthusiasm, the new players dying again and again, the other players that rescue you when you are about to die, the sentinel using the shield to cover the other players, the strategies in platinum, the volus recharching shields, the scanner mine and the other power which name i dont remember of the quarian engineer to allow all players to see through walls, the krogans headbutting everything,
when you are lying on the ground, an enemy comes to execute you and a sniper blows his head off in the last second,
all players covering the one who carries the package, players who do everything to save you without even thinking of their own safety
when a banshee grabs a player and all other players shoot and throw grenades or powers to her to save him
the geth juggernaut developing the shield on the extraction zone
the justicar's biotic bubble to protect or detonate biotic explosions
the asari heavy melee attack ![]()
and the bugs.. players that fall off the map or they move way too fast or can't move, or anything funny
or when you fire at a player and the character screams "check your fire!" or "watch it!"
gawd, i really hope the multiplayer of andromeda will be as awesome as the me3

The first Russian film festival open to western movies after Gorbachev featured The Empire Strikes Back as a standalone movie.
On the one hand, this speaks highly of the quality of Empire Strikes Back (it was being featured with a who's who of classic cinema, like Wizard of Oz, Gone With the Wind, and Citizen Kane.)
On the other hand, it speaks of the likelihood that narrative flow was going to make much difference when the dubbing is by a single Russian guy, standing next to the movie screen with a microphone, translating on the fly.

That's very gentlemen like of you. Though I'm not saying I have a problem with others doing it. As I actually use that as an excuse to make my epeen bigger while they're busy delivering pizza, because why should I walk with it when they can run with it. ![]()

Truly, Revan would've been phenomenal on the big screen. A movie exploring his path to the dark side of the force wth some good writing/ script has so much potential.
Also Mandalorians, we need more Mandalorians..
