Between the long breaks, I still have a ton of fun playing this game. I do miss the old weekend nights, with operations and 20 all night players on my friends list sipping tequila and so on.
Still remember my first gold game, a young asari commando timidly stepping into the PUG ring with three GIs. White, cerberus, and I totally nailed that phantom on wave 8 with stasis, but she was too close and the paralysis glitched and she blitched me. Died a few times and scored the leastest, but extraced and never looked back. In that sense, I miss all the first times; my first melee, first black widow, first ultra rare at X, first new kit from each DLC, first QFI melee kill, first time on each map. I can still picture Glacier the first time I played it, totally different mental map from how I see it now after the 400th time.
I do no miss krogan stunlock. Or the vanguard glitch.

They seriously closed the recent "behind the monitor" thread? Again?? It wasn't a spam thread. It was trying to pick up where the last one left off. A thread that lasted for, what, about 3 years without any problems and the community enjoyed to participate in. The new ones weren't created for spamming sakes, mods. They were created to have something that was fun again for everyone. Jesus Christ.
How about instead of closing threads that have been running in this community for years, try banning the people who are spamming the ****** forums. Problem solved. This really irritates me to no end.

Trying to get 99 friends on FL, then start singing to yourself 99 bottles of beer ...... and then playing 16hrs+ a day on Fridays Sat Sun with all of them at some point when DLCs came out or farming credits for them. If I grab 1 more pryo over cover I will get that UR the RNG has denied me.

I miss the excitement of incoming new patches with new maps, weapons and characters.
Strangely, I also miss the time, when Platinum was new and beating it felt like achievement, just like beating gold during the ME mp demo. Now, Platinum is more like trouble most of time. Too few people play it and too many bosses to really make it fun, especially with PUGs.
