When Inquisition was first coming out, I pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition because I've been wanting to follow the series. I loved Origins, and 2 felt pretty lackluster, but I had a feeling that Bioware would right the ship with this one. I wasn't entirely wrong, and I played Inquisition for an unreasonable amount of time, beating it with a couple of characters for my obligatory personal choice/good choice/evil choice playthroughs and then dropped it for a bit (I don't know why I guess other games came out).
Anyway, this morning I woke up and just felt like playing Dragon Age so I loaded Inquisition up into the ol' Xbone. I hadn't kept up with it much, so I was surprised to see three new expansion DLCs. Of course I wanted to play them, so I started looking into them and saw that they were each $15. That seemed pretty pricey, so I tried to find a bundle of them that would save me some money since I fully intended on getting all three.
What I saw was the Game of the Year edition, selling for like $60 and has all the DLC included in it, but nothing else that bundles the DLCs only. That really sucks, considering I spent $70 on the game when it first came out because I've appreciated Bioware's work, for the most part, up to and including this game. But now that I spent that money to support the company right away, I now have to spend an extra $45 on all the DLC just to experience the game in it's entirety. I'm essentially being punished with an extra $55 charge to get the "full game" for being a pre-order release date buyer rather than just waiting for GOTY.
Why? When the new Mass Effect drops, should I just wait it out until GOTY? Seems to make the most financial sense.
