I have seen people pop fire resist pot and others use spirit resist pot, but which one is it?  He is immune to fire and his ray is red in color so I always assume it was fire.   BTW, I found out that if you are a saarebas that only casting barrier in front of his death ray, he will just keep casting it non-stop until you run away.   It seems almost buggy.. unless it was designed that he does stop until someone damages him or the target ran out of range.   Maybe that's it.

Two different ray attacks. One is fire, the other is spirit and physical.

Yup. My no promotion account has issues with those rays.

But, DAMP is much much easier for new players because recent patches neutered archer step back full draw and assassin instagibs.

Just a quick tip:  Look at the color of the damage numbers you take.  It lets you know what type of damage the attack that is hitting you is doing.  I had no idea that the Heartbreaker Red Templar Knights did lightning damage with the zappy-zap attack until someone said it was lightning and told me to look at the color of the numbers for proof (I thought it was spirit ).

No sure if this is what you're talking about, but if you have static charge then it'll paralyze EA & it'll keep the beam going until the status wears off, think it works on Despair Demons too.

Ah that must be it!  He does look like he was hit with static charge.. just freeze there and kept the beam going.  Thanks! :D

I use both as soon as the banner is planted.  Same with the Qunari Commander.

Ha only scrubs use potions besides the two compulsary health potions!

(You think I would ever admit that I'm too lazy to map those potions? Nevah!)
