I previously posted a thread called "Multiplayer" noting my complaints about the multiplayer after a few days worth of experience with it. Not really sure if I mentioned rubberbanding being an issue within the game but I think that relates to my statement about abhorrent connection problems, mainly regarding the host. However I found that if I spam jump after starting a game with some random lobby I've joined, it fixes all rubberbanding issues whatsoever. Though it is a solution for a problem that many people have complained about, it is still pretty peculiar and leads me to believe that it's actually not always the hosts fault or the joining players. Considering my internet connection is pretty good with 30 Mbps and the plethora of rubberbanding lobbies I have joined, I think the problem lies in the game itself. I'm not demanding a solution for it at this point, the game has received as many patches and hotfixes as it ever will. I just hope for the next installment they actually put out a multiplayer that is as well polished as the single player or doesn't overshadow the single player experience entirely.
Rubberbanding

I haven't had rubberbanding issues in a long time. It used to be that you needed to jump after every single Combat Roll/Evade/Fadestep, otherwise you would rubberband right back to where you started at. You also had to jump everywhere you went if the host had a less than optimal connection. Like I said, I haven't had issues with it since they fixed it in a patch.
The problem is probably the host's connection. You might want to start hosting your own games. It sounds like it would be both a service to you and those you play with, who are likely having the same issue.

I wouldn't mind hosting all of the games, but for some reason if anybody is using the internet in the house (I have two brothers and a cousin that comes over on the weekends) while I'm hosting a lobby my teammates start to have problems. If it were any other game then there are no problems whatsoever. I don't think I had this many problems trying to play Mass Effect 3 and surprisingly there are still a number of people who host and play the multiplayer frequently. I just prefer Dragon Age's multiplayer because mages, warriors, and rogues, oh my!

You should be glad you didn't play the game with the original collision mechanics.

Annoying doesn't even come close to describing it. Never experienced anything like that.

I never had issues with the collision, and I still don't understand what was so bad about it. In fact I was disappointed when player collision was removed because I could no longer troll people by standing on the gold piles they were trying to pick up.

And why would you troll people in this manner to slow down game progression?

Watching people get overly upset over not being able to pick up 25 gold was funny. Can you really say that missing out on 1/50th of the amount of gold required for a large chest is going to slow down game progression? I would have to do that about 50 times to the same person in order to keep them from opening 1 chest that, lets face it, would not contain anything of worth anyway.
