I think it is an intriguing mystery over what that group of highly resourceful scientists would have done. But getting to Andromeda? How??? I don't really see the point in that even if, in the extremely unlikely event, it could have been achieved. They had a mission, and although they completed the primary goal, after doing so they would set new ones. Personal survival first and then if they achieved that, they would work on what they could do to indirectly hurt the reapers more.

Vigil stated that there were not enough protheans left among the scientists to sustain a viable population. Also leaving this galaxy for another galaxy makes no sense as the reapers would have been gone making any habitable planet safe from the reapers to live on. With the mass relays offline the only speed available would be sub-light and would take decades if not centuries to reach the nearest habitable planet. In the end even if they found a way to obtain food and water their best option would be to live out their lives on the Citadel.

I really want Protheans in Andromeda.I liked Javik, wise guy,and funny.Maybe...as was discussed, the Remanant are Protheans.Possible Protheans sent their own ARK ship to Andromeda in their Reaper War.Also explains, the Prothean that appers near the galaxy map at E3 2014.

There's a Prothean near the galaxy map?

The head and armour clearly looks prothean,no doubt of that.

I've seen that before. Forgot about it to be honest, but it certainly does resemble a Prothean.

Hell.....it's also a possibility that one of the new species we encounter in the Andromeda galaxy could be evolved Protheans. They have ways to be creative with this.

Why not. The lore's a mess, the story's a mess. Protheans are cool so by all means, throw 'em in.

No no, no Protheans. Javik was awesome, but I think he really was the last. I don't think there'll be any Protheans magically appearing in ME:A. To quote Auron from FFX: The dead should be allowed to rest. Besides, any Protheans would be asking about the Reapers, and since the writers aren't addressing the endings, that's out.

What about now?
When you actually watch the video its even more obvious. Why would they use a Prothean as a "stand in"? Why not some basic human model they've had since ME1?

Has it ever been disproven that Protheans may have traveled to Andromeda as well? They were highly advanced after all. Personally I love the idea of a small colony of Protheans waiting for contact from the Milky Way. I believe the writers will go in a different direction though (probably having the Prothean empire being name dropped during the game.)
Hell.....it's also a possibility that one of the new species we encounter in the Andromeda galaxy could be evolved Protheans.
Good question.
Within the ME canon of ancient prothean history, there is the possibility (wiggle room) for a story arc that integrates a prothean context in Andromeda, or any of the other very ancient civilizations that predate the protheans. .
masseffect wiki states:
" Very little is known about the origins of the Prothean race; even the name and location of their homeworld has been lost to history. It is unknown precisely when Prothean civilization arose and how long it persisted, but one of their communication devices discovered on the planet Fehl Prime has been dated to as early as 68,000 BCE. [I wonder if Liara ever found this device at one of her dig sites.] After achieving spaceflight, the Protheans discovered the ruins of a previous spacefaring race, the inusannon, and from those ruins learned about mass effect physics and developed FTL technology."
See: Background Races Some are unidentified. Given the time it takes to travel 2.5 million light years, the most ancient races in the Milky Way may have had time to build an ARC that traveled from Andromeda to the Milky Way in the first place. Hummm? It's not impossible, given the following notes:
The are a number of historical 'loose ends' in ME.
"The inusannon were a spacefaring race that existed at least 127,000 years ago. Little is known about them except that they warred with another race, the thoi'han, over colonization rights to the garden world Eingana, and that they inhabited Ilos at some point."
"Relics found on Etamis show that an advanced spacefaring race lived there 20 to 40 million years ago. It is unclear if Etamis was the race's homeworld or a colony."
"Orbiting Mnemosyne was a Derelict Reaper. Cerberus estimates that 37 million years ago, this Reaper was disabled by a mass accelerator round fired by a weapon built by an unknown spacefaring race."
Since Andromeda is a mere 2.5 million light years away from the MW, intergalactic travel for some of these ancient alien species already has canon potential.
Hope this helps fuel more speculation.

I think the other species from previous cicles, were more advance than our cicle.I mean:Orbiting Mnemosyne was a Derelict Reaper. Cerberus estimates that 37 million years ago, this Reaper was disabled by a mass accelerator round fired by a weapon built by an unknown spacefaring race."
I'm sure, that at least one species in Andromeda,is from MW.

not to mention, it is uncertain how much freedom the cycles were given when the Reapers started the cycles. It could very well be they started loosely with their cycles to get more Reapers out of them. Like all experiments, they had to adjust the timely depending on the spacefaring species themselves in the galaxy.

Vigil is Drew Karpyshyn talking directly to Shepard and the writing team, planting the seeds of ideas for any upcoming chapters.
Now, if any Protheans made it to Andromeda as remnants..... what would be funny is if our mission took place after the ending by a few hundred years when all the effects could be minimized. We're leaving the MW because it's a wasteland, but we get to troll the Protheans "Oh and by the way, we defeated the reapers, primitives."

I like it, or or what if the asari seeing as how they apparently appear humanoid to humans, salarian to salarians and so on are actually protheans!???Tinfoil hat twist on the idea of Protheans fleeing to Andromeda. What if Bioware's been misleading us this whole time... & the ark is actually a Prothean mission. Then there would be Protheans in the game as they built the ship, they're leading the colony, it's their show. And they rescued a number of lesser races(humans, krogan,...) on their way out. Our human characters & the other returning races would then be completely unrelated to those currently in the Milky Way. N7 images & Shepard's speach were red herrings... or the Ark's humans claimed the N7 after somehow becoming aware of our races exploits back in the home galaxy.
