You know what this is. Who is you favorite love interest?. Not just of DA:I, but of the series as a whole. Name your love and what attracted you to them. You can name you favored for each game and/or your number one of the entire series.

 

Why, you ask? It's been a while since this has been brought up as a specific topic. Plenty of time to try them all and sort out feelings. Curious if any opinions have changed.

 

For me, DA:O: Morrigan. Since the beginning. Before DA:I. Before Witch Hunt. Her romance was just more engaging. Breaking through that wall of ice seemed to invest her more in the relationship than the others. First play through, it was difficult to know what would set her off.

 

DA2, Isabella. had a harder time making a definitive choice here. Merrill was my original pick. Her rival romance was very consuming, but Isabella just fit my cannon Hawke better from an RP stand point. Getting past her jaded heart is more of a challenge.

 

DA:I, Cassandra is my favorite so far. Josephine is a close second. Cassandra is just... more. She goes from threatening your life to giving into the "wiles of a mad man". Cracking that armor and finding the real woman inside gives a more rewarding feel to the romance.

 

Over all though, Morrigan is still my beau. You can never really know what she is thinking. A mystery from day one to the present. Her evolution is all the more endearing.

Dont really have one for DA2  but for DAO of the ones I've experienced for me it's Leliana. I just find her a sweet girl in that game and very likeable the kind of girl that even I might have had the hots for. In DAI of the ones I've experienced it has to be Cullen. Mostly because I think at that point in his life he's starting to really question everything he's doing given how many things have gone wrong for him and he just wants something to go right for once. With all of that nd how the story plays out it just leads to being quite a sweet little romance.

Iron Bull is my favorite of the lot. Physically he's a gentle giant, he can be dangerous so it's even more precious to see him when he's nice. His face is also very expressive and coupled with his voice acting you can see him go through several moods. His dialog is also fun, it's clever, funny and quite dirty, which I find quite amusing. And his scenes are also well animated. Very little stretching or shrinking of his or the Inquisitors model, whether you are playing as a dwarf or a qunari. I really like that. 

 

For the other games it would probably be Zevran (slightly above Leliana) and Merrill due to our love/hate relationship.

But I have not tried Cullen for example... someday, possibly. I dont like the female animation. Roughly rocking her hips while walking, then she sits on the throne as a dock worker; disappointing ...

DAO: Proooobably Alistair, but it's a close-run thing between him and Zevran. I love both of them, tbh.

 

DA2: Fenris. Specifically, rivalmancing Fenris as a mage .

 

DAI: Blackwall, so far. I have not got around to Iron Bull, Cassandra or Cullen yet, although I plan to have done all three by the end of the year.

 

My favourite overall is Fenris. My favourite video game romance of all time, in fact.

DAO: Morrigan. It's just so intense, as you work your way to her heart and she finds herself afraid of feeling vulnerable.

DA2: Fenris. He isn't actually my canon romance in this game, but still my favorite. I mean, how can you resist trying to comfort the ex-slave with a sexy voice?

DAI: Cassandra is my favorite character by far, but it wouldn't be fair to say her romance is the best. Unfortunately, it lacks dialogue and cutscenes. So I'll... call it a tie between Bull and Sera. Both succeed in giving a good balance between sweetness and tons of fun

Yeah, I know. Lol. My Hawke must be like; "Isabela isn't here.... I can look at the way that the Inquistor walks, can't I?" I image he must like it, and that's becuase my Hawke is a isane guy, lol.

DA2-Merril(but she would be better for elf Warden or Inquisitor, not a Hawke who is not deserve her, i would prefer Aveline or someone like Bethani for Hawke in DA2)

 

DAI-none and all romances for males(if you are not travelian human nonmage) was the worst, females have Solas

DA2 - Meredith - yeah I know, she's not a LI, but if she was it would be because of her voice. Jean Gilpin did an excellent job voicing the character. For LI, Isabela

Leliana. I have a big thing for Claudia Black, plus Morrigan is just damn sexy. Then I found myself and my character falling for Leli. That had a very strong impact on me I think. Changed my warden's fate from sacrifice to dark ritual because according to the ending slides, Leli kills herself.

 

Merill for DA2, though I would have loved some Aveline.

 

DAI... the bromance between my male Quis and Sera I suppose.

Morrigan. My Warden Tabris and I greatly enjoy "defrosting the ice queen". The whole romance is quite beautiful, especially during moments where you break through her shell, like the golden mirror scene.

Second place is Leliana because she's adorable, in terms of personality, voice, etc.

DA:O: Alistair, even though I haven't actually done his romance.

 

DA2: Nobody.

 

DA:I Cullen, easily.

 

I love awkward and adorkable knights in shining armour, apparently. And the fluffy stuff like marriage

 

Though, my canon worldstate has no romances so far, and is unlikely to change.

I quite like Fenris in DA2, but Dorian in DAI far eclipses anyone else. He is my favorite NPC of the entire series, and my favorite romance.

 

I like him as a person, but the romance also reveals a greater depth to his character that I don't feel comes across any other way. He's a man of deep feelings, has a lot of love to give, and I think it does come through in the romance (the entire romance, including Trespasser).

DAO: Alistair, so far. And I don't think I need to explain why my Warden fell for him.

DA2: Anders. He's one of my favorite characters in Thedas. He's silly, flippant and easy to be around in Awakening, and seeing his contrasting demeanor in DA2 is kind of tragic. In the latter, he's complicated and tormented, but every now and then the Anders from before Justice breaks through, and that makes it kind of... more sad, actually. Anyway, his angsty passion thrown at my sarcastic LadyHawke mage just felt right.

DAI: Rainier. (I'm playing Trespasser right now. Just can't bring myself to call him "Blackwall".) At first he's all "I don't deserve you! We'll regret this! Something inspirational about duty! RESOLVE!!!" And then he realizes he's not going to be the man she deserves unless he mans up and faces his past. Which requires him paying for his crimes by dying, so he just skedaddles. But if the Inquisitor persues him, recognizes how far he's come and who he really is THEN as opposed to who he was when he committed his crimes, there's an opportunity for growth, for both of them, I think. And when he wasn't pretending super hard to be a Warden, he was a pretty normal guy who just wanted to help people. His and the Inquisitor's relationship becomes more about sharing each other's burden in difficult times than anything angsty or dark.

I would like your comment on this alone. I mean Alistair was the go to guy in my five playthroughs (one time Romancing Morrigan, four times romancing Alistair). Lol.
