The world is better off without trash like that guy. Why anyone would be upset over his death is beyond me.

Indeed. There is no problem with this. Never acceptable to interrupt your superior! (And absolutely no one) You have to wait until finish, then beat, kick the balls, kill etc. This is the right order, is not it? ;)

I've only ever seen Harmond die on YouTube because my inquisitors pay attention when she makes it entirely plain that she doesn't want them to keep talking to him.

Your Inquisitor are a nice person. Mine not too much.  ;)

I can't be bothered getting into another argument about that despicable arse Harmond, but I will not let this stand: Just because you don't like short hair, doesn't mean no-one does. She's lovely.

I agree, but even though I like her romance, I do take issue with some of the writing choices regarding her character.

Romances

By game:

DAO: Alistair > Zevran > Morrigan > Leliana

DA2: Don't care, the game is garbage

DAI: Cullen > Sera > Cassandra > Josephine > Solas > IB > Blackwall

Funny since I hate playing human PCs in DA, but my fav romances thus far have been human. In general I prefer mixing and matching the races of Thedas.

Top 3 overall:

Cullen

Sera

Alistair (the whole King Alistair dumps a non human BS is poorly conceived, and not really supported by who Alistair presents himself to be throughout DAO)

Killing him is the only correct option.

You can use him... if you're pragmatic enough and not too squeamish. ;)

PS: ok, sorry, back to the topic!

For DAO both Alistair and Zevran. But I like matching Elves with Elves so in that circumstance it will be Zevran. In the end though, Alistair might take the lead by half a point. Plus he can make me his queen. :P

Anders for DAII. I mean, I like Fenris...but I dislike him looking so frail next to my Hawke. Plus, I always feel a little nostalgic when it comes to Anders. I loved him in Awakenings and was sad to see the 180 they did with him but...oh well.

And for DA:I both Cullen and Solas. And as Solas is race-gated (Which wouldn't have mattered to me anyway since I always would've romanced him as an Elf.), my Human girls get all snuggly with Cullen. I kind of like Iron Bull but he often makes me feel a little dirty so he won't be making the list.

Hard to pick one though....Could be Alistair since he was my first in-game romance ever. Or maybe Solas since he was the last and unlike Alistair, Zevran and Cullen, he offers no happy ending. As of yet, at least. Or Cullen as his romance is even sweeter and fluffier than Alistair's, and sometimes I just want fluffy. Or Zevran, who's heart you really have to conquer because he doesn't love easily.....So difficult and subject to change... But as of now it has to be:

1. Solas

2. Alistair/Cullen

3. Zevran

My dwarf doesn't have time for immaturity.  He was going to cut a deal with the guy.

Cut a deal? Pah. He can do my Inquisitor's bidding and be grateful for his life. Nobility Knowledge perk option FTW.

Its the only time in the entire game where the mechanics change and an NPC interrupts the dialogue wheel. Its an interesting moment for that, I suppose. But if you don't know its coming, I can see why you'd find it (and Sera by extension) extremely annoying.

In the DA2 also Fenris does not let to negotiate with Darius. He says: he must die. (But somehow it does not annoyed me ...)

I was annoyed when he did that with Hadriana. Killing a surrendered foe - especially a woman - is dishonorable. It was also annoying because Hawke couldn't do anything about it.

Fenris did not want to kill her. Later, he said, and he repented. It was blind fury. Otherwise, Hawke could the same as that the Inquisitor could do: Hawke could confront him.

I would add: Who cares about, that Hadriana is a woman? No an innocent, weak flower: ask those who she have sacrificed ...

His regret will do her no good now. How many murderers use that same excuse? "I didn't want to do it..."

No matter what Hadriana had or hadn't done, it doesn't excuse what Fenris did in that situation. If he can't control himself then he is a threat to everyone around him and should be kept in a shorter leash.

Yes, he are dangerous. Hawke know it, and Fenris know too. What is the question? Indeed, it was not right what he did. To break a promise is incorrect. He repended.

And yet Sten seems to be one of the franchises favorite characters to many and he killed an entire innocent family for no reason. Sera can kill a not so innocent noble and is vilified for it.

Oh, yes, STEN! I wanted to writing this. (He have excellent manners!) :)  Damn! You where faster!

(My problem with Sera not that she killed him ... but her manners, and she showed no remorse. Uncontrollable, and therefore dangerous.)

Sten did it off camera before the HOF ever met him, had a reason, and accepts that not only was what he did wrong, but that he should be punished for it.  Sera interrupts a potentially useful conversation to go insane right in front of everyone, shows no remorse, and throws a tantrum if you call her out on it.

On topic:  Cassandra was my favorite LI in the series.

No he didn't.

Yes he did.  He even lays it out for you.  He saw his squad killed, then woke up in a strange place, confused, and without his weapon.  In this frightened and confused state, he though the family helping him were, in fact, thieves, and attacked them.

That was his reason.  That he was wrong, and admits that he was wrong, does nothing to negate that he had a reason for his actions at the time.

He never talks about them being thieves at all. He apparently just panicked upon losing a weapon, and apparently the natural qunari panic response is mass murder.

Taking responsibility for his actions, admitting that he was wrong and accepting his punishment is what makes the difference between Sten and Sera.

This isn't a case of 'whose murder was worse', because that's a stupid discussion to have. It's an explanation of why people are willing to view Sten more positively regarding his crime than they are Sera.

Sera killed someone that murdered people and tried to murder more, if you put any effort into it you can keep it from happening. Sten will always be a mass murderer.
