I said prevent, not interrupt.

Here's a good quote from Tolkien: "Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement."

Because Sera is impatient? This is nonsense...

(No, none of my inquisitors send out Sera. They continue to amiably chatted with her. Only they show her place.)

...what?

I mean that if you accept the nobles offer of alliance or use the nobility knowledge perk then you can prevent Sera from killing him. There is no way to stop Fenris from killing Hadriana (unless you don't do the quest).

Yes, i accepted the "alliance" with my noble Inquisitor. With my dalish, not. (But that was not "alliance"!) In both cases, Sera questioned the inquisitor's decision. This is normal?

From the prevention: how was the inquisitor to know that Sera will be mad, if he ignore her tantrums? Fom YouTube?

(Fenris' case is completely different.)

With the nobility perk you can basically take everything he has and make him work for the inquisition, Sera gives approval.

I haven't played a male but have played Dalish in seven games and she accepts him being taken down a notch, rather well but the nobility perk is needed.

Morrigan would be at the top of my list and I imagine a great many other lists. Between her role in the events of Origins, an entire DLC dedicated to her in Witch Hunt, an interesting cameo in the 2D game The Last Court, and her contributions in Inquisition I would have to say that she is easily the most important character in the series that we as the player can meet. Everything from her writing to her voice work by Claudia Black all work to make her character memorable, if not a cornerstone of how players perceive the Dragon Age world.

In Dragon Age 2, it I would have to hand the best love interest story award to Isabela. Did she initially start out as just that pirate lady you may of had a threesome/foursome with in Dragon Age: Origins? Yes. But her character evolved, was altered and given life and meaning. She is sexy, funny, at times provocative and almost always enjoyable to have onscreen (beyond the obvious reasons for such). And here again, great applause must be given to Victoria Krueger, Isabela's voice actor who did an absolutely wonderful job and really injected enthusiasm into the character.

For Dragon Age: Inquisition I don't know who to give the trophy to. Cassandra is nice, but I felt like she pushed her lover away a little towards the end as we entered the Trespasser DLC.  I was never taken to Josephine, her romance always seemed awkward - such that not even my noble warrior chose to pursue her. As for the others: Sera was annoying, Blackwall was weepy, Solas is Solas and Dorian leaves you and so does The Iron Bull (distance wise I mean). So I think I would have to nominate everyone's favorite man muffin, Cullen, for the top lover position in this game - helps that he ends up with a dog (I like dogs).

An lastly a call-out to the Elegant Abbess in The Last Court who is the leader of the Abbey of the Bans, an unorthodox Chantry in Serault. The idea of a highly ranked church official using her position to carry on a secret relationship just sounds so very old-school Catholic to me (and that's what I like about it   ).

Did you think of this cameo? (Morrigan was not my favorite, but was good, yes.)

Those are more like passing mentions, a cameo would be like a brief appearence. Like when Alistair showed up in DA2 and did bloody nothing of importance (the dunce). In The Last Court Morrigan was present and asked for your assistance while she stayed in Serault.

Kinda hypocritical to quote that since we do it all the time in the game.

Morrigan and Isabela. Not sure about DAI, ladies look awful in this game, ah if only we could mod the game like we did in DAO.

I loved Leliana and Josephine the most, though I also really enjoyed Isabela's romance. And, while not my favorites, I still liked Morrigan and Merrill's romances.

Morrigan is the best romance bioware have ever done imo - got my attention from the first time you see her in the Kocari Wilds. What makes it even better is the way it fits the story so well: - Battling Flemmeth to "save" her

                                - She gives the Warden a ring which she can use to find him and break him out of prison

                                - The other party members comment on it, a lot (usually with disgust XD)

                                - Dark Ritual = saves Wardens life and gives him a son

                                - Truly sad when she leaves, when Allistar asks what the Warden will do now "Find Morrigan" response - spend the next couple of years

looking for clues whilst being Warden Commander

                               - Witch Hunt DLC becomes a race for the Warden to find the women he loves and his child

                               - Walk through the eluvian and play happy families

Leliana: decent romance but pointless for me because i will always like Morrigan better

DA2 and DAI male romances were complete ****

DA2: You can choose between: a 12 year old elf who is into some crazy dark stuff and wont listen      or        a ****** ------------- Thank god for the DLC, chose Talis.

DAI: Cass and Josephin - neither looked the slightest bit attractive to me and both were incredibly boring, their romances felt like a chore.

Side note: I actually really liked Isabella, she would have been perfect for Hawke, but like I said - ******

Leliana should have been Male Inquisitors romance IMO

Of the series as a whole? I'm severely torn between Morrigan and Cassandra. I think I have to lean slightly toward Cassandra.

I understand - I mean, i liked Isabela - but Morrigan inspired me to play as a guy in DAO and Cassandra made me do her romance three times. Cullen doesn't even rank in the top three on my list despite being my Canon playthrough...

Of the entire series I've gotta say Leliana. For sure. Inquisition... I guess Josephine, although to be honest her's and Cassandra's romances weren't really interesting to me.

For DA2 Isabela without a doubt, I did like Merrill's though.

Favorite of the series: Dorian, without question or hesitation.

DAO: Initially Alistair, but later Zevran

DA2: None, though my Hawke fell hard for Aveline and never recovered

DAI: Dorian, followed by Iron Bull

Origins

I like Leliana, but she's not quite the kind of person I'd see my Warden with in the long term. She's strong and pretends to be fragile. But she's too, Idk, elusive somehow. Distant. She's always guarded, even when she could relax by your side. Like telling love legends of Alindra or saying your eyelashes flutter like buterflies instead of just telling you how she feels.

I romanced Alistair in my first playthroughs, but now I avoid him. I've come to realise he's unbearable. Childish, whiny, selfish, immature. Thinks the Warden should be a 100% virtuous hero when he can't even steel himself and fu***** lead the group.

Is unhappy if made king. Complains in the future if he gets his heart's wish of remaining a Warden. Pass.

DA2

No memorable romance whatsoever. Fenris and Isabela are the only ones worth mentioning. Next.

Inquisition

Reasonably good romances, better than Origins in many aspects. Chose to romance Cullen with female Inq.

He looks more like an obedient dog than a lion to me. He's calm, doesn't talk much unless talked to and keeps to himself.

However, he's not very clever. He tends to have a closed mind when it comes to using resources and dealing with unorthodox problems. He doesn't understand diplomacy. He doesn't know how to exchange two words in a social gathering. So it's a major downside for me.

As a man romanced Dorian and it was by far the best romance for a guy. Amazing drama, superb writing, 10/10.

In truth, it would've been nice if my female Inq. could have a romantic, asexual relationship with Cassandra. She would've been my #1 choice, without question.

What? Would you pefer that you did lead the group, or something? I don't know why that's a complaint, really, it's nonsensical. Be glad you didn't get fetch quests from him, like let's say Preston Gravey, becuase he'd give you fetch quests if he was the leader of the group and then people would complain about that. But meh, about the rest, I'm not gonna agrue about it, there's no winning here.

As the Nightmare demon said to him in the Fade, he doesn't take charge of his own life. Not even when he SHOULD.

Alistair refuses to take charge of his life and prefers to transfer responsibility to someone else, even if they're unsuitable to the task . When there's trouble, he doesn't confront it. He runs away.

And as it is with such people, when things don't work out his way, he doesn't admit it was his fault to refuse to fight for his interests, for what's important to him. He simply prefers to follow orders and blame someone else, the authority in charge, so that he won't have to deal with the guilt of having made a bad decision. So he makes no decision at all and lets others decide his fate.

So he exposes the Warden, who's already suffered enough depending on his/her origin in order to safeguard his reputation, since "he's just a follower" and spare himself the trouble of being blamed by others of comitting horrible mistakes as a leader. It's a coward attitude and inexcusable, since he's been a Warden longer than you. He also tells you he enjoyed the discipline of military training. How come, then, he completely misses the notion of doing what's necessary to ensure the mission is accomplished? If issuing orders is needed, he shouldn't have a problem with it. Every soldier learns it by watching their commanding officers. They're used to this leader/follower routine. Alistair should as well.

The game could at least offer the chance to discuss strategy with him and consult him about how a Warden would proceed in certain circumstances. But no. He leaves every responsibility in your hands. And if your decisions harm someone or something important to him - Arl Eamon and the decision to sacrifice either Isolde or Connor -, then he feels entitled to b**** about it and blame you entirely. As if he weren't a Warden, an adult and therefore also responsible for the fate of the group and the decisions made in the name of what remained from the Order in Ferelden.

That's my problem.

And that's why I always harden him.

I do hate the fact that he disapproves of all the ways a male Warden can survive. DR? "I wouldn't count on his help. He walks a dark path". Sacrificing Loghain? Utter betrayal of his feelings.

The only way male HoF can preserve his friendship with Alistair is to die.

So pretty much you avoided my question? I asked you if you wanted a Preston Gravey and you didn't respond; because you'd likely get a Preston Gravey out of Alistair if he led the group; I think it's a mercy that we didn't get a Preston Gravey out of Alistair, me thinks. ^_^ Although, I do admit Alistair does have his flaws, he's much better then let's say Morrigan... Who abandons you every single time even though you do the DA with her.
