Hi People,
First, i'm a French Guy so my English may be bad, sorry for that.
I would introduce you to a RM build that I'm surprise to haven't seen it : The Detonator Rift Mage
Here the Spells:
- Barrier
- Dispel
- VeilStrike
- StoneFist
- Pull of the Abyss
- Winter's Grasp
- Chain lightning
- Lightning Bolt
The aim of the build is simple :
- ennemies asleep (shock + weakness) + dispel/stoneFist = Nightmare or Rupture
- freezed ennemies + StoneFist = Shatter (well known this one)
- Paralized ennemies + StoneFist = Discharge
These combos deal some decent damages (in addition to other cool effects) and allow to be more versatile. The Build can CC pretty well and stays efficient on the barrier et rift fights thanks to dispel (which become a dps/cc spell with nightmare !) and it get very unique effects with the detonators. The stoneFist upgraded can even face the guard.
Furthermore, dispel can be replaced by energy barrage or immolate to get more dps (or abuse from the upgraded immolate) and Winter's grasp can be replaced by the ice mine (but an other aim of the build is to not uses mines which we can see everywhere) OR Blizzard wich work very well with the mana regen of the RM, can freeze and can cost less mana than winter's grasp.
Notice that weakness + shock (in that order) do not make sleep status so it's possible to use both.
I'm not deep in the game and I can't completely test the build and this is why I submit it to you if someone wants to give a try.
