I contacted support three times throughout 2015 to fix a failure to authenticate DLC. As polite and obsequious Manoj, Anupam, and Shakti were, they had no idea what's wrong or how to fix it. The last one even sent me a free key of the collector's edition. Sadly, it suffers from the same error.

The game requires Origin so I can't install it as a standalone program. I can't create a new account to play because it's bound to my account. And I can't even purchase the game again from a new account because my card is linked to my account. So not only did an error on their part brick multiplayer, but also made me unable to play by any means until I change my bank card. (Single player is playable once you get past the constant error pop ups)

I have given up on multiplayer and I refuse to contact support a fourth time when it's clear they can't help. All I wish to say is congratulations guys. You really nailed it with this technology.

I have to say I really hate the whole DRM/Origin/Steam/GOG stuff, I hated that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt actually required goddamm internet despite not having DRM. I find it rather excessive, I mean, I understand they fear their game will be pirated so they use this system to prevent it and thus not lose money, but it really bothers me when I buy a new game and I have to install it using the internet, when I have already payed for it. So I do not buy so many games now as I did in the past.

If it fails to authenticate the DLCs there might be something wrong with the DLC files, so you could try to repair the ones in question.

Apart from that, you could also try WarrantyVoider's DLC patch. (You'd need that anyway for most mods, and some include it already.)

I had a similar problem in ME2 with Arrival DLC, it was installed but the game didn't recognize it. I deleted the files from the folder and downloaded them again and it worked. So far I had no problems with ME3

GoG never requires DRM, get your facts straight.

But requires the Internet regardless, that's what bothers me (my connection isn't very good).

So today Origin authenticated the DLCs. Just tested it. No problems whatever. One year dealing with support to no avail. Two days in the forum and the problem goes away. Coincidence? You decide!

Thanks everyone. Thread ready for locking.
