Playing through ME2 again at the moment on a 4k monitor... Settings all maxed out and yes it's lovely and buttery smooth but if I was playing it on console I wouldn't enjoy it any less but I'm used to ugly looking games which run like ass... Remember the 90s?

Hardly, I was born in 93. 4k in the old ME releases doesn't make much of a difference though, the textures are kinda low res.

Textures in ME1 on consoles were awful but in me2 they don't bother me as much as the weird painted on looking shadows and the disk switching but these kind of quirks give console and older games a certain charm in a kind of art though adversity way. I'm hoping to upgrade my PC in time for ME:A as I prefer M+KB controls for the traditional ME experience but I'm in no rush and will probably play it on console first to see if it would be worth the expense. I plan to play multiplayer on ps4 anyway as I have a massive friends list of Mass Effect ps3 players to do platinum with.

PC.

I played the original ME trilogy on my 360 and loved it, but I'm trying to avoid buying into this console generation.  I'll definitely have to upgrade, though.  My gaming PC is 5 years old and still running a 560Ti.  Managed DAI just fine, but the card is just one gen below minimum specs for games ported from the new consoles.

PC for me as well.  It troubles me to see so many people playing this game (at BioWare) on a controller.

If you have a PC good enough to run MEA then you should definitely play it on PC. Mods and controller support make it a no-brainer.

I'd agree on most games. I can't find worthwhile mods for ME though.

im thinking about playing it on pc but havent made up my mind yet. what about you guys?

PC :3 !!! Gonna add another ASUS R9 270x and play MEA on Crossfire  in Ultra Settings <3

PC versions almost always look better. You just need a good PC. If you can't afford it - Console is fine too. Tho games are so damn expensive for consoles, that it is better to invest in a good PC.

Bought over 10 games last year. Saved 20-30$ on each. "Saved" 300$. A gaming PC ( talking about ultra settings, resolution not higher than 1080p) you can use for about 4 years. So during these 4 years you can save up to 1200$. The console costs 400$. Now... For a 1600$ you can build a really good PC. And the awesome thing about PC is that you can always add additional RAM and graphic card later.

Or ... You can buy a console and always wait for a year until games are cheap enough to buy them xd ... In that case, having a console is a better idea.

I hope they add controller support this time. As of me3 none so far for ME, DAI finally added it to the DA line.

This why I despise the so-called "PC Master Race" and "Hardcore Gamers"  they are nothing more than a group of tech fetchists, who think a game that doesn't run 60 fps or has hi-def realistic graphics that it is a piece of crap and that every worthless and stupid POS 2-bit mod makes them better than people who just want to play games for fun.

Let this old hardcore console player break this down for you: take you specs and stuff them where the sun don't shine.

I didn't give a damn about the specs when I was a PC gamer in the past which FTR was the worst experience I've had as a player,

I don't give a damn about your stupid specs, NOW.

And most likely I won't give a damn ever.

If the game works the way it's supposed to and I have fun playing it, That is all that matters to me and if doesn't I will re-sell or delete it.

I am a PC player but I can understand the arguments but I play because I enjoy these games the fact that I can mod them is just a bonus to me personally. Most of the time even though I can I don't bother with it though although with DAI I do but that's more down to the hair being bad in DAI's vanilla game than anything else. I don't really consider myself superior for doing most of my gaming on PC. I game on PC mostly because I find it easier with my disability to configure the controls just the way I like them on PC whereas with consoles I find it hard to use the controllers to pull  anything more than basic maneuvers too hard as they seem to require rather complex button presses which most of the time I can't pull off.

Steam in home streaming works pretty well. I tried it. But you probably need a gigabit ethernet connection wifi ain't cuttin it.

Thanks. I might just track down a really long hdmi cable. Not sure I have a connection that can handle this.

PC. I hope BW add ps4 controller suport. Ubisoft did it with AC unity and it worked like a charm.

Mouse aiming + 8 hotkeys for abilities on the keyboard makes ME:A on PC a no brainer.

Assuming I buy it, PC.

Oh and ME1 looks fine on PC with forced AA and a texture mod.

I do but then I've been gaming most of my life even on computers that used  to take 10 minutes to load a game games like Harrier Attack and Smiley and the Grumpies which was a kind of Pac man game and Fast Food again another similar type all on 8 bit machines and the old Amstrad CPC464 so I remember those days. People today have got it lucky it takes no more than about half an hour to install a game on disc or if your downloading it might take longer say about 2 hours depending on the size of the game and the speed of your internet but anything after that just a few seconds to load up once it's installed. We also have pretty crystal clear looking graphics with realistic faces and incredibly detailed environments. London in ME3 in particular for example looked very good (apart from the fact it had been shot to hell by the Reapers)  but still vey good. I still very much recognised the locations given I live in the UK and have been to London on a number of occasions so found it very impressive. Also the varoius locations you get to visit in DAI are very good and very picturesque. Not to mention the cutscene when you're first introduced to Skyhold in the game was as impressive as a game can get I think

Console for me, not because of "**** you PC" or any of that stupid platform war children play. Because of comfort, i am nearing the end of my 20ies and i have been playing consoles since i was like 6, its like a freakin comforter for me, hell even if i had a pc that could run it i would still be playing on console.

PC, because it always means more options.

Don't like something? Even in games that do not officially support mods you are able to make some changes and edits, at least to some degree.
