im at level 28 having just beat the game and was wondering should i even bother playing on hardcore or just jump straight up to insanity. from what i gather i am 2 levels away from the level cap unless 30 isn't the level cap. is there anything special you can get from playing through on hardcore that will help out on insanity?

No. Go straight to Insanity. Only two levels from cap. Insanity is the only mode with an achievement. hardcore would be a waste.

I'm doing Insanity from the start and damn have they really improved the AI for it. Too bad my party AI is still a little dumb how they'll occasionally run out there or not even bother watching my back or sometimes not even shoot at all.

Yeah i encountered this with Jack when getting legion.
