They should put a friendship/rivalry system in it like DA2, because it did work well expect for Anders,he just wants to get it on with Hawke no matter the gender. The system would work well for the LI breaking it off with you because if you are Rival with your LI well they might just not want you anymore. Could be a trophy to max Rival your LI so you find out they were cheating on you when they break it off lol.

They can't really work it into the plot as long as the protaganist could be a hetero female or gay male, so how would they "betray" you if they can't seduce you in the first place?
Could still work if they betray you anyway. There's just no seduction this time, I guess. Perhaps the seduction would be a shortcut to their goal. Morrigan's romance in DAO had some elements. However, she genuinely falls in love with you, can't get her Old God Baby unless you agree to it (since her child from the romance/seduction is an ordinary human), and never actually betrays you (especially if you did her OGB ritual).
