Problem is here, everyone uses the BSN to poll **** about opinion and a playable alien race would be a hit. But Bioware statistics have clearly shown that wider range of ME players who aren't involved in BSN and don't shoot out romance fan art like a f*cking machine gun have other preferences. And well surprise those pay just as much as hardcore fans do.

You guys shouldn't take this the wrong way but I have to again emphasize. Bioware is like:

On another note. How do you even rack up almost 16000 post?

The better question is how did I let people overtake my post count after the forums migrated here.

Hmmmm I don't know. How?

Well, there are normal fans. Just not here. I would consider a normal fan who just looks forward to new releases and just goes with whatever (mostly) the artist decides is best. And not get off on the most obscure things. (Space f*cking a turian? Endless romance art?) I mean the romance requests alone range from "I want this and that and that and that" to full on sex simulator where you want your specific fetish rendered. I think that goes a bit overboard.

true there are no truly normal fans here. and I do find it funny when members goes overboard about anything and I get the popcorn. Yes I will share the popcorn as well. Don't worry it is indoctrination free.

There are a couple. Truth be told I sometimes go overboard but it's when dismantling the science of it all, but at the end of the day I don't really care how they do it, just want to play the game. If they ever decide to reboot the series and make it more scientifically plausible and make a book about the science of Mass Effect on steroids. I'd be down with that.

Indoctrination free? Yea that's what you think!

Well like I said in another thread, the Race option alone would be nice and I wouldn't care if it is basically just for looks. Not to mention there would be too much work they would need to do to make dialogue get affected by our race option. Race Option is so we can all be different snowflakes and purely aethestics to a certain degree. We seen this happen with DAO and DAI, the only time races matter in DAI was The Winter Palace that shows us Bioware thinks all humans are racist. But the option alone to have the ability to pick a race and customize that character is all that Bioware really needs to do when giving us the race option in any game. Otherwise we are asking a bit too much when we want the AI to respond to our race pick, most they could do is small tidbits. Maybe have some races get a discount as others get the prices jacked up because the shopkeeper is racist lol. But we can't ask for alot if we want them to give us race option and we want to get out of the human only cocoon.

Honestly we have no one but ourselves to blame for why its human only because DAI they cave in again and look what we did with that, we spit on them because it wasn't perfect.

Normality is over-rated, embrace the weirdness son. Also pfft 16,000 posts, chump change, come back to me when you compare it to LPPrince's e-peen. Perhaps now that the OT section has been taken out back and shot someone here will finally over take him. Sh*t-post at will folks.

We know next to nothing about the story, so maybe it makes the most sense story-wise to go with a human protagonist again (like in DA2 for example). Speaking for myself, I know I'm tired of playing as a Human in the ME universe though. It's by far the most boring race in the setting. I know humans, I've played them a million times...and if a scifi or fantasy game doesn't do anything interesting with them, I like to play as non-humans as often as possible. And following the age old trope of "humans are special" certainly doesn't help either.

Not all the posts from BSN carried over in the post count. Any posts in forums that were "mirrored" to the new site count, but any posts in threads or forums that were simply locked or deleted without being carried over (such as anything in groups) don't count towards the total.

In other words, our listed totals are actually... lower than the real number.

Humans are special

-better looking

-better food

-better entertaninment - movies, music etc

-better vacation spots

-better sports - football, hockey, soccer etc

-Earth is the best looking homeworld

-and the most important part. The best species to lead the galaxy against the reapers, namely Shepard, a human. Excellent.

And now the best species will be leading the followers in a new galaxy, Andromeda. Excellent

You see, the mistake you made was when you challenged me to race to 10 000 posts. What you should have done was wait until you were at 9,950 before telling me about the challenge. Then I would have had to spam day and night to catch up, and squirrels would have been unnecessary - the ban would have taken care of it! :P

I do similar things with fan fiction ideas I cannot write LI scripts,  am more comfortable dismantling and teasing out little story threads in the ME lore. I wouldn't say I am a normal ME fan, atm I'm playing Fallout 4 and it is packed with as many Mass Effect mods as I can source. I'm using the game as a plot vehicle for last generation ME fan fiction ideas to kill the boredom of not having any info on Andromeda to play with at the moment.

I studied psychology for a while, there are many reasons why conforming is a sign of a stable mind. But I don't really feel like getting in a fight over this right now.
