I can't believe how big is Skyhold and all the interactions we have in it, the game really start here, Heaven was so boring. It took me more than 3 hours investigate all the rooms and I didn't meet Hawke or talk with Varric yet, this place is huge.
It is so big!

Yeah, but have you seen some of the rooms? They're so tight and cramped in there, I felt like I had to slather my character in some kind of lubricant just to squeeze through the doorway.
I still don't know where Josephine, Leliana, Solas, Dorian, Varric and Cassandra sleep, they don't have a room!

Cassandra sleeps in a bed on the upper levels of the smithy. You learn that if you are a warrior because you need to find a book about the templar spec near the follower who has the spec.
But you are correct for the others. After you do the first mission, either Here Lies the Abyss or Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts, the scaffolding gets removed near Vivienne's quarters and you are able to walk out that door and see more rooms and most of those are decently put together. You might assume that Solas sleeps on one of the sofas in the gallery, but I don't think that's the case.
Dorian shares with my Inquisitor (after a time). ![]()

I just assumed Solas sleeps on that spacious couch he has in the Rotunda. Definitely spacious enough to double as a bed.

I still get lost...
Hah it took me most of the first play to navigate without looking at the map. I don't like to use fast travel if I can help it, so I really made the effort to learn my way around and know multiple paths to get to various places.

^ Lolll I usually avoid the spiral stairs and instead take the doorway that is a bit down from the Undercroft door. That's a straight stairway that leads directly to the second level of the tower.

Thought this was going to be when Sera talks with the Inquisitor at Haven, "I thought it'd be bigger...not that, well it's still funny innit?"

Skyhold was my favorite part of the game. It reminded me so much of the Suikoden bases in how it slowly gets repaired and you see people you've recruited, etc.
I wish the upgrades did more. I wish it would have been fully repaired after a while/ quests

Suikoden thats a blast from the past I loved those games , know what you mean about building up your castle .Would have liked to see Skyhold fully repaired before the end of the game especially that damned wall leading to the war room.

Hah! I love that. ![]()
I found it strangely satisfying to hurl my dwarf off the battlements and see her face plant so solidly into the ground. Then she'd get up like nothing happened, only for a stifled scream to rise up 5 seconds later. Ahhh the lag...good times. ![]()
