For me will be finishing Andromeda for the first time and then having to wait at least 2-3 years to play the next one.

When I first played ME1 to the end, ME2 was a completed game and Arrival had already been released, and ME3 was a month away from release. So my playthrough was more or less seamless in its completion.

I waited five years and all I got was this stupid ending!

Oh, and the T-shirt.  I love the T-shirt though.

I have a similar timeline to yours except I first played Me2 the day it was released and I also pre-ordered Me3. And yet I have never waited to play a game in my life...

Good luck to you I guess.

Indeed.

That was the first thing I thought of, as well.

I think this is the hardest part. 4 years since ME3 and barely any info to go on, with teasing for a release this year. Possibly.

When I finally have MEA in my hands I plan on multiple playthroughs. I played ME2 and ME3 four times each. It'll tide me over hopefully for 18 months. But then the inevitable waiting.

Well, hopefully it's a standalone installment. A self-contained story. That way you won't have to wait 2-3 years to see how it continues.

By the time I joined Mass Effect, the first three games were already out.

Well, Mass Effect 3 was still new, but the hype was basically almost over. In fact, I believe the day I purchased Mass Effect 1, the Game Stop employee was taking down the Mass Effect 3 poster.

I got the games in story order to avoid spoilers, though. In 2012 or 13, I purchased Mass Effect 1, in 2013 I purchased Mass Effect 2, and in 2013 or 14, I purchased Mass Effect 3.

I still remember the endings I choose on my very first play-through of the trilogy. Save the Council, save the Collector Base, Synthesis jump. My character was 90% paragon/10% renegade.

If the MP is as much fun as it was in ME3, then problem this ain't.

True.

My ME fix stopped when I sold my PS3 to get a PS4.......

Sigh.

it will suck to have to wait for the next ME game, hopefully the game is good enough to play often for the amount of time that it will take for the next game to release, whether its ME:A2 or ME: Return to Milky Way or whatever they come up with.

This.^

A successful self contained story with no lose ends. A new protagonist or the same is fine in next installment. Bring back the companions and love interest etc. Just make sure all important choices are wrapped up and complete.

1)MEA should be more standalone (if not near-fully, then at least partially more than the trilogy) so that should take some sting off. Personally I could actually like there being a '2nd Part' game in the future, but it should still come with less attachment between games as the trilogy had.

2)MEA should be longer than any previous game, I am just hoping that this isn't largely due to boring filler but instead stuff I'll find consistently pretty interesting, and even have a lot of RP potential instead of ... picking up dogtags from X barren planet or something.

3)MP may be more expanded than ME3's MP. This could mean we're kept busy for not just a 2017-2018 cycle (content, events, plain replayability), but even 2019+.

4)DLC is obviously coming throughout 2017 so you can certainly play at least one more playthrough with everything we'll be getting.

Basically you'll be kept busy for at least a year post-release, maybe two or more. And if Bioware does use the story choices from the trilogy in some interesting regard (not required, but interesting), that's even more to replay with. And if Citadel DLC is any indication on the experimentation Bioware is doing with making choices affect things in-front-of-our-faces-instead-of-a-War-Asset-number, even just consequences within MEA will HOPEFULLY be very nice to see.

I'll be itching for ME in 2019 and especially 2020, but 2017 and probably 2018 are covered :)

The waiting would be easier if we had backwards compatibility for the rest of the trilogy already.

I'd have to agree, finishing andromeda only to wait for it's sequels(oh there will be sequels) but I hope da4 comes soon after andromeda

So you don't want a Mass Effect game? and for the wait i played 1 hour a week so when i finished the story, the waiting won't be so long.

Playing a mass effect game for only one hour is like taking a single chip from a bag of lays. T0xUiCk.jpg

The hardest part for me is waiting until patch 1.0a is released, 3-4 months later. You just know it's going to be needed.

Something tells me, Mass Effect games will be pumped out every 2-3 years.  This is the longest gap between games for the Mass Effect series. We are nearing 4 years since the release of ME3.  ME1-ME2 was about 3 years.
