I agree that DA2 has a more complex and interesting concept for a story than Inquisition. The main problem with DA2's story is the pacing though.
I think you're right...
Because when I play years later, I find myself constructing the story in what I think is the ideal pace. But I don't think I should even have to do that.
Act 2 is a good example. It's got a lot of good quests, but I'm still not sure what's a good pacing for it. Like when I should start doing Gaspard quests and Leandra's story.
