Have you downloaded the multiplayer DLC? And what difficulty are you searching for? Have you tried creating a lobby yourself?

I have some of the DLC's, getting the rest now.  I tried just hitting quick start to see what is going on.  Took a long break from ME series and getting back into it now.

I still play it sometimes but the game is almost 4 years old so I don't play it as much as I used to.

I haven't played ME (any of them) in ages. I came to the forums to get some links to post over Bungie's way to show how communities should be and how community managers *should* communicate with their player base. The Destiny forums are nowhere near what is offered here and Deej is certainly no Priestly.

That being said I might have to pick up ME3 again, or maybe even run through the whole series again before shoving off for Andromeda.

It should get a lot easier once you have them all if not, you could always try posting in the MP forum for someone to team up with.

I was trying to keep it simple but if you're going to have a stick up your backside about it, technically you can but you only match with people who have the exact same mp dlc installed, and since 99.9999999999999% of players have em all installed, you're gonna have a heck of a time getting good games in without all of them, plus you'll be missing maps, kits, guns, and gear from all the ones possible, and adding in that they're all free you'd be dumb not to install them all. Happy now?

If you played without changing the default matchmaking settings then you probably dropped into the highest difficulty with a level 1 kit with starter gear, could explain why the kick, if it was just bronze then your teammates were just being dumb, either way most of the people on the me3mp forum are genuinely helpful to new players and would be glad to help fill out your friends list and help walk you through some games to help you learn the ropes. If you ever want to give it another shot just pop over and say hi.

The little orange elements on the difficulty setting thing. They're actually arrows and clickable. I made the mistake when I was still young and handsome.

Just to give everyone an update because they cared so much, I got it up and running.   I didn't realize there were so many multiplayer DLC's and the confusion of bioware's layout made it even harder.   The web page didn't let me download the DLC so I had to use origin and mass effect 3 has so many websites.  Took me a while to finally be able to find and play them.  

 

Multiplayer is fun but sometimes hard to find a good game.
