If Andromeda is about humanity settling elsewhere, then the Red ending should be the default one. Plus Pathfinder was already in this ending. Human-centric stuff...

I'm not seeing any preference here. Any outcome works. Only If the goal is to make absolutly sure that nothing can cross to Andromeda to interfere with things, then low-EMS destroy is the way to go: a dark age lasting ten thousand years. Not that this is all that long in the history of a galaxy...

The ending was perfectly fine lol.

Edit: Oh whoa the insults are going into Latin!

Because they failed in at least two of their harvests (well three, given the Leviathans)

I don't know, I mean sure they would be slightly more incompetent, but failing in 3 cycles out of the thousands of cycles since Leviathans' cycle is still a pretty good percent

I can't take credit for this, I heard it suggested on another site, but an interesting way to incorporate the endings would be for some sort of "galactic history" choice to replace either the psychological profile or background decisions in the original games. IE, you decide which ending is canon at the start of the game. If you pick Destroy as the backstory to Andromeda you start with extra Renegade (because the galaxy is a more militarized place in the wake of the destruction of the Relays), if you pick Control you start with extra Paragon (because the galaxy prospered with the Shepard-Reapers rebuilding everything), and if you pick Synthesis you either get an equal amount of both, or (this is my idea), you don't start with extra points at all and instead get some sort of bonus in combat or another area as a result of cybernetic augmentations.

I don't see why they need to pick an ending and make it canon. Just do it like you did ME2 and 3, it checks your character save and starts the game reflecting the choice you made.  I mean, I doubt they'd do that but it's what I'm hoping for.

Since Andromeda is a new game with totally new characters and a story that doesn't give a crap about how the trilogy ended, discussing the ME3 endings ad nauseum is pointless.

The ARKON project packed colonists made up of military, scientists and breeding material to start anew somewhere else. What eventually happened back home happened and the colonists can do nothing about it.

The second teaser has Shep passing on the torch. Our Pathfinder should take it and run with it... end of the Shep story and the beginning of the new.

I don't think Shepard was talking to the actual people going to Andromeda. It sounded like Shepard was talking to the players, as a final farewell and then passing the torch to the new characters we will come to know.

The endings are radioactive to this day.  Referring to them at all undermines the very purpose of running away from changing the setting

Or maybe no bonuses as such, but more of a backstory if required (sort of like War Hero, Sole Survivor or Ruthless), and they only mention it once or so. I do not think MEA will tie into the ME3 endings and hope they will find a convenient and believable workaround
