Oh please no. I never enjoyed that. They can form a bond, friendship but please don't let them bang under my command. My Maincharacter should be the only one who get's that privilege lol While I love Garrus and Tali, I don't want to see them together and EDI with Joker was kinda weird. Not really bad it was just, she looked like a sexbot and I'll remember fighting her on the moonbase... I was kinda a bit grossed out by it, sorry. So let them be bros and friends but, everyone keeps their pants on as long as I'm not involved

Eh its not a problem with me. The ulterior motive for me is that I love the complainers who whine when the LI from a pervious play through hooks up with another companion. "I'm the only one allowed to have a romance! Otherwise its not special!" Mmmmmm....the salt.

It is weird. But so was that non sense of developing emotions. Or that comment that it kinda felt disgust after seeing the reaper camps. Even if it's an AI emotions like that wouldn't happen.

I was hoping that I could secretly break up everyone's romance with rumors submitted through hidden channels. Then I'll be the shoulder to cry on for everyone.
This will all work towards my ultimate goal of a debauchery

Yeah... The Crew having inter personal relations without your input would be nice and would breath some life into them.

 

Kinda like how certain members don't like each other but learn to get along.

No, it doesn't. Having the crew blatantly ignore the rules of the military they work for without consequence is not logical and breaks immersion.

They should if you the player not going to do anything why the hell should they wait around for you when they want there milk or cookies .

Not necessarily...fraternization happens all the time in the real world. 

 

If you had a lot of crew members pairing up it might stretch suspension of disbelief a bit, in addition to turning the game into a soap opera... but one or two couples among the crew isn't implausible.

Wait..wait...ship protocol? Shep can flirt up and down the Normandy but its okay because they are in charge? A bit unfair don't you think? Garrus and Tali aren't under Alliance protocols, they don't have to obey squat, nor Liara, or Javik for that matter.

That is a good point as well. Technically it's only fraternization with Ashley, Kaidan, Cortez, or Traynor. 

 

Vega too, but Fem Shep has bigger problems than fraternization to worry about if you go that route.

And as I expressed later in the thread, if they have it at least let the protagonist express their opinion on it as their superior officer, from being fine with it to reprimanding those involved.

Shepard is Spectre in ME1 as well so not quite under Alliance's authority at that point, but rather under Council's.

Romances are scripted, if I go by  DA:I's Cassandra romance and it really felt like a quest. That means that the dialogue and voice acting are also tightly controlled to keep costs down.

 

All of this to say that it ain't gonna happen... not with ME:A....

 

Nevertheless, the idea is interesting.
