I tried to post in tech forum but it wouldnt let me.  They havent found a fix for nvidia  crashes yet that im aware of ,so here is some info about what i see.

 

 

Ive just begun playing this and have no problems completing Haven,hinterlands and the Fallow mire, then i googled companions and went and got them all with out completing them areas.

 

Once i finished haven and got to sky hold i went to crestwood and got about half way through it and found out about : The Way of the Rift mage.  Still no crashing.

 

So i went to the exalted plains in search of Venatori tomes 

 

And the crashing started... only when i battled a group of hostiles (all types),  I tried everything to fix it with what i could find with google, nothing worked.

 

Then i remembered everything was fine before i went to the plains , so i backtracked several saves back to crestwood and finished it with no crashes.

 

So i think the problem could be area specific. Something changed.

 

i played on a 6 core ht i7 with ddr4 mem and 760gtx nvidia latest drivers on win 10

it appears to be a glitch ,  went back to my brothers house to continue playing 

 

after i finshed crestwood i saved and went back to the war room and went back to the exalted plains and finished that up with no crashes

 

so for me the fix is simple just go back to the save before the glitch and start over from there
