It's not bullying to point out that an overweight person is ill-suited for combat roles. The posters here are being perfectly civil.

"Only if a second squadmate follows him around whilst playing a tuba."  Really you call that civil? I'll beg to differ. I think they are ill-suited for combat too but there is no need to be mean like that. We could still have one on the ship.

I'd like to see different body types at least. ME3 had Vega who had different model than other male characters which was nice change.

I really don't understand people with these kind of fetishes. I am not a very fit person myself(but I have been making progress since new years) but that is just...weird

Well I always have been rather thin. I bulked up for a year and hit 208 lbs from 165 at 6,1. Strength wise it was really cool and I could up the weights every week because I was eating so much. I got a little fatter too but I had to work for it (at some point eating is just stressful if you have to every 2 hours sounds weird I know). Also I got pretty impervious to cold but my stamina went down the drain and climbing stuff got exhausting pretty fast. Then I started muay thai and lost all my weight that I have previously gained (I still have a **** ton of stretch marks though, the inside of my upper arm looked like a zebra now it's slowly fading) and now I'm pretty much as I was before. But stamina got better even though I smoke excessively and I'm more athletic in general.

That's why I have a hard time buying in the thing of "Just because you're fat doesn't mean you're not fit" crap

Didn't like the body types ultra tiny to vastly obese of SW knights of the old republic.

That said i agree with you it would be nice to see better implemented variation in body types.

Vega's look suited his character.

I don't know about your body proportions but for me 180 was a good weight for 6,1. Then again my requirements are different now. You can be bulky when you fight but you don't gain that much from it. And when I started I was still heavy and strong but some guy who did it for a while already and was probably 40 lbs lighter than me totally kicked my ass.

Anyway that is my experience.

We'll since you say you smoke excessively you do not live a healthy life either so you shouldn't talk **** about other peoples health. You are not everyone else and it bothers me when people think what works for them will work for everyone else, that's not how it works. It's appalling that people make fun of overweight people and question their health even if they work out and eat somewhat healthy but nobody bats an eye at a thin person shoveling junk 24/7 and never working out because being thin is the only measure for health... GTFO

And if I were to apply to combat troops I would quit smoking the instant I made my decision. I for one wouldn't be fit enough in my current condition to take part in any significant combat role. The thing is we're not so much talking about how fit thin people are rather about how when you're fat you're probably not in great condition. But when you're thin it could go either way. I have yet to meet one fat guy who has better stamina than me even though I smoke like a ****** chimney.

And if you've read what I wrote properly you would notice that things like stamina went down the drain when I was heavier. Although I was stronger I would say now I'm in a better physical condition to take part in combat than I was back then even though I worked out more at that time.

Fat is only dead weight, I wouldn't expect somebody who has a 60 pound piece of iron strapped to their back to perform as well as somebody who doesn't.

I can't believe tuba players still face this kind of prejudice in this day and age.

I'm a non-smoker, but I agree with this.

There are marathon runners who smoke. You probably wouldn't see someone who is 300 lbs finish well in the Boston Marathon however.

I've seen my fair share of fat Army guys as well, have not much experience with the AF but you hear stories

Believe me, plenty of fat people in the Air Force.

Only branch I never saw fat people was the Marines.

I'm not pro either, I'm in college so at this point I'm just deadweight on society :D

Then 190 is probably a good weight for you, keep it up!

I was just talking about my weight preference. I didn't mean to impose something.

I wouldn't mind it, like others have mentioned maybe a body slider or something in the CC

There are plenty of fit, healthy, fat people. Strongest woman in America, Sarah Robles, is fat. Myself, I'd love to see a bad-ass fat character that isn't just the butt of everyone's jokes. Or constantly eating. Or any of the other fat stereotypes that are always portrayed in the media.

(Oh, also, being in shape does not inherently equal 'healthy')

I totally like the generic mario music that is non fitting, Reminds me of hipster teenagers trying to look like gamer's with their tshirts they got  from a 1-up box

If you read some of the post I made you'd see that I was heavier once and it was great strength wise but not fitting for combat. You're never actually healthy when you're fat, your heart doesn't like it one bit. (Neither does it like my smoking but then again I'm not healthy)

As for fit, we've said enough on that already.

if you train for a marathon you can run a marathon. it's that simple. Doesn't matter if you're thin or overweight.

And again, not everyone in your Squad has to be the hard ass special ops recon uber Marine type of guy. Who knows what will go on on the Ark but I'm sure it's not gonna be filled with 100% military.

And by the time you're ready for the marathon and can actually run it, chances are you're not fat anymore. I have never seen somebody coming in among the first who is fat.
