Claudia Pastor was born in the Free Marches to Antivan parents, she rose to infamy after openly fighting Templars in defense of mages despite having no magic ability herself. Perhaps even more odd was her immediate willingness to join the disgraced Prince Vael of Starkhaven in his hunt for the apostate Anders.
She was attempting to avoid the danger of the Mage-Templar conflict as best she could but found herself the unwilling guardian of a group of circle mages being hunted, and eventually transitioned into the role to the comfort of many mages and, in time, the dismay of many Templars.
She eventually found herself in the center of the conflict as tensions in Kirkwall rose to a breaking point. She fought against a group of Templars determined to eliminate mages entirely, and in a protracted battle against this particular group she drew on allies from dozens of people during her travels throughout the Free Marches.
Her most constant allies and perhaps most vocal, were a young man named Piers and his lover, a former Circle mage named Brianna. The two joined her in her uprising against the Templars and eventually joined her in the War Council founded in secret by Sebastian Vael to hunt Anders and The Champion of Kirkwall.
This very council was comprised of Claudia, Piers, Brianna, and several other allies and led of course by Prince Sebastian.
The hunt drew them across Thedas, and eventually to Anders namesake of the Anderfels.
