As I'm currently reading the DA lore, would it be possible if Anders can be made tranquil or not (as seen with Justice and Karl in Act1)?
Can Anders be made Tranquil?

I'd imagine so. I don't recall possession preventing Tranquilization...or whatever it's called.
You can stabby stab him though at the end of DA2

I would never do such a thing to him.

He may be immune to Tranquility, but I think having Justice made him that much more vulnerable to mind control/binding by blood mages, though.

DA2 Anders made me hate Tranquility and mages in general. Do you think this was Bioware's intention?

That would be horrible.

That would be truly ironic and really cruel, but considering his deeds...

No. He has a spirit inhabiting his body. According to what Cassandra Pentaghast learns in the Book of the Seekers , it's impossible for him to undergo Tranquility.

I think it's possible. But I doubt it would do any good.
DAO had possessed Tranquil in the Broken Circle quest. Tranquil can still be possessed. They just don't register as living beings to spirits, so they generally don't bother. but Anders is already possessed, so...

Yeah once a mage is possessed I'm not suer hjey can that's why I think those magesthat get possesed by demons during or after their Harrowing get executed. As Cullen would have executed the warden in DAO had they failed.

If one of your family or one of your friends is a mage, would you made his/her Tranquil? This is all too Jack Nicholson for me...and people just keep on forget Anders is actually a very good man, before he blew up the Chantry he was in Dark Town helping the sick and the poor...and before that he was in Awakening Expansion Pack risking his life defending Vigil's Keep and Amaranthine...some people who actually think making someone Tranquil would be fun is mothaf*ing bone chilling to me.

Andres was always a tricky one though because in some ways he was good but in others he was bad in that he was posessed and didn't conform to society's rules like other mages did. Yes he did help the sick and injuerd when they needed it so he deserved credit for that at least if not anything else but still a tricky one.

Hm. I always thought he chose to live in Darktown because it was easy for him to hide from the templars in there. The templars had a strong presence in Kirkwall. Anywhere he tried to hide wouldn't do. Just check how Hawke hunts down apostates during Act 1 entirely.
And to make sure the inhabitants of Darktown didn't denounce him tot he authorities, he healed them from their many diseases, since the poor can seldom get decent medical treatment.
It was a trade. His healing powers for their silence. That's how I interpret it, anyway.

Anyway,I'm not here trying to be his lawyer. The whole Tranquil sh* is what drove him murderous in the end,and most of the mages in Kirkwall turn to blood magic/demons for their survival.....he just wants a quiet life and be treated fairly, and just because he's a mage he needs to trade for his silence it's pure injustice to begin with...this is just like some stores won't let black people walk in,which is the ultimate bullsh** to me. So what difference does it make that mages being treated like this, just because they're mages..... ![]()

Fenris is starting to realize that he may have feelings for Anders that goes beyond lust. The path to admitting anything more is difficult for Fenris, given his history with mages, but he's slowly trying to learn how to deal with his feelings.

I think he says he's there because it's easier to blend in (with the refugees), and yeah it's pretty much implied they are protecting him (or at least not snitching) because he is offering his services for free. Hawke gets jumped by a group right after you first ask about him in Lirene's shop.
But I also don't think him being compassionate and wanting to heal the poor was an act or anything like that. He says he joined with Justice to right wrongs and help people. Later in the game, he laments about spending less time with his patients.
