I have been trying to play ME3MP on Xbox. I have a problem where the whole thing just freezes when it gets to the screen where I choose to go into multiplayer. It's not the disc or the console as it works with my kids profile. It seems to just be me! I can play other games on my profile but I don't want to. I need some advice as I'm getting stressed out with it. I've tried deleting my profile from the Xbox and redownloading it and clearing the cache. Nothing is working. Help please!

I've a pretty simple and rational explanation : god didn't like your avatar for a while, and finally found a way to punish you. Repent yourself, unbeliever !

You have what is called the Retaliation Glitch.

 

The only fix is to move the Retaliation DLC to a USB stick, start ME3 without Retialitation installed, then at the menu screen, after the DLC check, insert the USB key. You can then play ME3 normally.

 

It normally goes away after a couple weeks for most people.

It happens on X-Box too ? I thought it was a PC privilege...

You're welcome. I know about it because I have had it three times on Xbox, for between a week and a couple months (ouch!)

 

I don't think you need a particularly special USB stick, the DLC is less than a GB, IIRC.

I checked it out on ea answers and the general consensus is you should use a 2gb so I just got a 8gb for 5pound. I'm a UK man. Thanks again.

an alternate fix for the retaliation glitch is to disconnect from the internet, wait for the game to load in, reinsert internet cable, then click on multiplayer, sign in

 

of course you still can't accept invites or do anything that returns you to the game menu

Yeah man the misfits are cool. Also the descendents, minor threat, pennywise, offspring and I also dig system of a down. I saw bad religion live in London in August last year. I loved it so much. They played all the old songs. I've been wearing my no control t-shirt all day today. Good to meet a fellow punk.
