My specs are in there. I can play Cod MW2 at 1980x1020 at max graphics and not lag at all.. and when I play DAO... i run fine for about 10 secons then get this HORRIBLE lag for like 10 seconds... and it continues... I'mn okay for the next 20/30 seconds only for more lag... I can't even play!
Horrible lag... but I have a good rig.

Dragon Age demands a lot from your computer. More than MW2. Graphics is not all. The scroll to overview takes a lot (removed from PS3/360).
You can test your computer here:
http://cyri.systemre...lab.com/srtest/
Chose Dragon Age and see if your PC pass the recommended.
If it doesn't pass the recommended, but passes the minimum requirements, the game will run, but probably with lag and/or long loadingscreens. There are safe software that can boost your PC though. If you have an AMD desktop this can help:

There is also a link to a software for AMD laptops later in the thread.

Look at that. I can run this game perfectly. Did you even look at my specs?

The only I can think of is an issue I had with my PC. I was running a 8800GT video card (recently upgraded) but it would overheat a lot causing lag and crashes. I had to download the Riva Tuner to up the fan speed on the card itself. It helped a ton. For whatever reason the default speed was like 29% so I upped it to 50%.

I get the impression that DA:O may be the fiercest puder load ever seen. Examine your Case Fan setup & check if it's powerful enough to keep your puder Case well vented. In addition, make sure you don't have any area of your Case undervented or not vented, as this can & might create a Hot-Air Pocket Danger Zone. You especially don't want one of these in the vicinity of or under your Graphics Card. Lastly, make sure you don't have any Case Fan or CPU Fan blowing potentially hot air directly onto any of your parts, especially your Graphics Card.
It's been lookin to me like Case venting is an easily overlooked aspect of puder maintenance. Oh, that reminds me. Also make sure you routinely maintenance your Case & all of your Fans with Canned Air. Dust & Dust Bunny buildup is bad for your puder parts, & can clog up your Fans & Heatsink & directly sabotage their performance. Fans can even fall to this danger & go down.
Hope I helped.

Guys, I tried playing on 800x600 on lowest graphic settings and i still get the same results as if i played on MAX. I don't lag on any other game whatsoever. It's not my fan or Graphics Card, it's this damn game :s

It's easy to argue that "it's this damn game," I understand. However, if you've attempted to play this game on a lower resolution and with lower graphic settings, something tells me it isn't *just* the game. I experienced very similar issues with the 280, and it came to be that my card was, in fact, overheating. Perhaps you should try the Riva Tuner tool recommended by another forumite; I don't see exactly why you're so quick to discount help when you seem anxious to fix the problem. If increasing fan speeds does not help, the solution might be as simple as updating to the most recent drivers.

I think I know what you mean, My PC exceeds the recomended spec with the exception of my processor which meets the recommended spec. For the most part, the game runs sweet as a nut but every now and again, I get some lag. I could understand it if there was a whole lot of stuff happening, I'd blame it on my processor, but when I'm in an empty room...? I've no idea what the cause is but fortunately it doesn't happen often. BTW, cooling isn't an issue in my system.

try saving game shuting down game and restarting the game . they have some issues regarding either their coding of the game or their QA dept . or IMO both
edit: i did give a suggestion to one of them (in the thread about longer and longer loading times . that they were saying they could not reproduce the problem inshop.) That it would be a better policy all around and cure most of
these issues on release day . if their QA dept do their testing on more then one TOP of the line sytem. t
To do the testing on a few different makes all with different leveles of components some high end pieces , some low just mix it up a bit . i said that would be a better way to do QA . And guess what their responce was ? They deleated my post compleatly.Im giving them the benafite of the dought and convinced myself that the OP did it because it was a good idea and he wanted to make the suggestion like it was his idea.

I'm concerned that there' something gravely wrong with the way DA:O manages it's data &/or memory. I also wonder if the number of things this game tracks & processes every second might be a new record high for a PC game.
I've heard fearsome Intel that this game is sometimes frying Graphics Card Memory. Graphics Cards have actually been killed by this game. Your Graphics Card might already have damage, or worse on it.
