Why would you find that funny?. Since the people who saw the endings are likely to also be those who are the most passionate about the series.
Because there was nothing wrong with the endings? While I do not care for Star Children (eg; V), I am fine with both the original and free DLC conclusions. And while the final moment comes down to a few choices, many of the prior decisions made in game influenced how one got there.
The perceived quality of the endings wasn't my point. Rather it was that quite obviously that those who were most passionate about the series would be the ones to complete it.
There are plenty of threads where we can discuss the endings to ME3, this does not need to become one.
You never know until you try. I think that this trilogy deserves your attention. One of ME aspects is being able to tell a story. And it’s not easy to take. You will feel the atmosphere, all story lines. And I bet that you’ll never regret the time spent to ME. You shouldn’t miss it.
I've never played any Mass Effect games, but I've heard that the ending is horrible. Should I give the series a chance or would it be better to spare myself the pain?
Well i have only played Mass Effect one and i can tell you this that it was at least for me not a waste of time and money. So based on that i think you should give the series a chance.
And i have red here that there are people who hate the ending of ME 3. But there are also people who do not hate the ending of ME 3. So maybe you're one of those people who do not hate the ending so much.
It is totally worth it, can't tell you how many times I've replayed the series. (although it did take a couple months to peek at it again after the first original ending, I got emotionally involved heh), the series as a whole allows you to get that involved if you want, that in itself should show just how much the game can affect you, it's a damn good game.
Since the Ext Cut is free you shouldn't have to suffer the same emptiness (rage) most of us felt with the original cut

I would like to add that it is really exciting game you can't stop playing! Every moment you play is a kind of cliff-hanger which makes you continue doing it again and again.
