A Krogan Engineer would be could, remember we had one sorta in ME2 when getting Grunt. But a actual squadmate, now that would be badass to have.

Yeah, ME2 had three Krogan characters who showed brains and brawn, Warlord Okeer, Lord High Researcher Fortack and the Urdnot Mechanic.

As much as I love Grunt as a character, it would have been fun if like the Samara/Morinth choice, Okeer survived the mission and we could have recruited him as was the original plan in the dossier. Could have been interesting to have someone who went to the Doctor Doom school of mad science and had used it to become a feared warlord, as well as provided a nice contrast to someone like Mordin.

Ah, yes, for some reason I had forgotten that I actually liked the story of Mass Effect 2. Thanks for reminding me that ME is not all bad and giving me renewed hope for the ME:A game.  ^_^

ME3 had it's moments and ME1 had a great story, but ME2 was probably the high watermark of the series thus far.

It makes me wish that Bioware had continued to give us the same kind of recruitment missions that ME2 had for it's followers, since the dossier missions from ME2 really allowed us to fully establish our companions and their personal arcs (save for Kasumi and Zaeed, but they were DLC).

DAI really could have benefited from having us go on some mission that lead to us recruiting Blackwall, Vivienne, Sera and Bull, rather than us simply show up in X location and offer them the chance to join. Cole and Dorian come closest to the ME2 recruitment style, since we get to see them in action and fighting alongside us during IHW and COTJ before we get around to recruiting them.

If the goal in MEA is exploring and establishing new ties in Andromeda, having companions from other factions or races join our side because we've done something to earn their reason for wanting to be there, would probably make the most sense.

ME1 understood this because all of the companions we picked up had some reason to be there and advanced the plot along, while ME2 was us on a recruitment drive that needed to have us convince people to join our suicide mission. ME3 only didn't do this because Shepard knew who they wanted along for the ride, they just needed to get the band back together.

Problem with smart Krogan is they tend to be the mad scientist type. O'Keer first, then if you have Wrex and not Wreav the scientist on Tuchanka bangs on about how he hates saving lives and wants to build bombs.

That's one reason it would be good to have someone a little different.

I keep bringing up Doctors, I know, but I think it would be brilliant to have a Krogan Doctor who intimidates his patients into following his advice thoroughly just by glaring at them and rumbling a warning against being reckless.

Is that the doctor who killed his predecessor? I dunno if wanting to build bombs instead of saving lives is actually a sign of madness in krogan, though  Like Wrex says, "it's just who we are, Shepard."

It seems to make them worse. O'Keer was so nuts he thought the Genophage was a good thing and he wanted Grunt to have it.

Doctor: Well you don't have a second liver, so there's not much I can do for you. Here, take these."
Wounded crewmate: Will this ease the pain, doc?
Doctor: What? No, but they will bring out a nice flavour in the meat in about ... *checks vitals* ...three hours.
Crewmate: *groans*

Being afraid of human Doctors is often an irrational fear.

Being afraid of Krogan Doctors is frequently a survival instinct.

Krogan: Don't worry about the operation, it'll be fine.

Patient: You've done this before?

Krogan: Performed stomach surgery on a Thresher Maw once, close enough.

Patient: How?! And more importantly, why?!

Krogan: *Shrugs* Only way to get out of it's stomach after it swallowed me.

Yeah, I think the last thing the series needs is a Krogan LI. The love interests should stay limited to humans and very humanoid species like the Asari or Quarians. Even the Turians were pushing it a bit. Lets not have Andromeda turn into Rule 34: The Game.

I don't want to be too crude ;), but from what I have seen and read (don't judge ), those who really want a krogan romance (like it must be a krogan, scr*w personality, must be krogan) linger on d**k size/c*m quantity a lot in their p*rn and fiction. It seems (like with the fascination with big, towering turians) these individuals want to imagine their t00n's p00n gets spl*t from cl*t to an*s. Next it will be elcor LI, followed by a reaper capital d**k.

Has lore specified the krogan quad doesn't refer to a specified amount of barbed hemipenes?

As much as the idea of some of the more alien characters being LIs makes me want to reach for the brain bleach, Elcor dirty talk would be pure comedy gold.

Replaying the series I noticed a distinct lack of germanic/nordic human characters, not  a single human squadmate is distinctly of germanic/nordic heritage and I can't recall any major human sidecharacter who were either.

What if we had an Elcor crewmate who's constantly hitting on other crewmates, including the protag, even if it never goes anywhere?

I think Miranda was supposed to be some kind of nordic space aryan but she did not look good with blond hair so they changed her.

-For the story that the upgrades in the mako have an impact like in Mass Effect 2 and more suicide mission-style.
-Blue kids this time [at the final chapter perhaps, 2022 =( ].
-That we can choose to let everyone know what we have done or not (in the game, not like space james bond).
-More deep content on story and impact in the love interest.
-More maps or modes after the year and half of release for the multiplayer (even if i have to pay i wouldn't mind).
-That earning the achievements would be something difficult, not like, you give a step...  unlock a new achievement.
-Have important things to do with the money that influence the story.
-Find an errant planet and see how "if there are anyone" manage to survive without a near star...or find ruins.
-Travel to a gas giant and find ...wildlife.
-Get the chance to do a first contact (like the kirik).
-Saving the wildlife from a catastrophe (local or global).
-Take the data from new species to a xenobiologist or the opposite take whole animals or part of them to poachers (for the ones who "like" that kind of thing).
-Bounty hunter.

Well now Krogan Doctor just has to happen.

Wrex's attitude + Mordin's brilliance and absolute pragmatism. Best Doctor in either galaxy.

Bonus points if he has a really gentle, soft spoken assistant for contrast.
